I'm heading from Australia over to the UK next year for the Glastonbury festival. U2 are already announced as one of the headliners. Kind of hoping Pearl Jam sneak their way onto the lineup as well.... would be a dream!"...Dimitri...He talks to me...'.."The Ghost of Greece..".

I am seeing them tomorrow as a winner of a contest:P
I hope you liked the show!
Alice is Chains gig was superb! Really had great time. All those lost memories coming back ... Really cool. If someone says AIC without Layne arent AIC anymore i must strongly disagree and wouldnt be afraid to say that Duvall might be even a better singer than Staley used to be .... All those high notes etc ...
Cool stuff. Seattle is not dead! Check them out if you get a chance!

It's actually based on an ancient Chinese fable.
The first time, it worked, & he told it really well. The second time, he didn't. And I'm sure the fact that half the crowd were yelling the punchline at him before he'd even gotten two lines into it didn't help!
anyway, in 2010's story, I think the farmer from the 2000 version will eventually lose that stoical acceptance and kill himself, leaving a note that says "There's just no Point anymore."
Or would that just be too grim, I wonder...?Post edited by wolfamongwolves on93: Slane

The Netherlands is a great place to go see Pearl Jam! I've seen Pinkpop and PJ mentioned in the same sentence a few places over the last week or so - it should happen! I
European festivals, always so well organised and much cheaper with nicer weather compared to the Irish ones!

I gotta be honest, I dont really want any festivals. If I could get to 7 or 8 gigs that would be so amazing. Let everyone else fight over the festival tickets. PinkPop would be cool but not really into festivals as a whole.0 -
7 0r 8 sounds perfect0

Pinkpop sucks. Its too commercial. And a lot of people that are only interested in the popular bands (overly hyped bands) at that moment.
They could better do something like Goffert Park again if they want to do something with a festival.0 -

That was an awesome day. Beautiful sunshine, great bands. Day before (RHCP played) it rained all day.
And offcourse a great show from Pearl Jam.
A day like that is way better than Pinkpop where you have alot of people that are not PJ fans.0 -
