Adelaide was amazing! You can probably called me biased though considering Adelaide is my hometown and the only other show i went to on this tour was Sydney, but everything about it was perfect! The venue, the weather, the Ten Clubbers i met, the setlist and of course Pearl Jam themselves.

Me and my friend who i went with made a flag and took it with us hoping maybe just maybe the guys would see it. Low and behold, at the end of Yellow Ledbetter, Eddie signals to a security guard to get it off us and give it to him. Ed asked if we made it and when we said yes he said "its beautiful!" he then took it and wore it like a cape. The blood, sweat and tears (and a tonne of swearing!) that went into making it paid off big time!

Heres a link to some of my photos (the flag included!) if anyone wants to have a suss!

Oh my god; the concert was friggin' awesome!!! So much better outside; and the weather was perfect. Such a great set list too. I introduced my dad to the music of Pearl Jam a few years ago and he came along for his first PJ concert. He turned to me at the end and thanked me for making him come (he was a little worried he was going to be too old). I'm so glad I was able to share the experience with someone who has introduced so many difference music styles to me over the years :D

I almost cried when Eddie came out to sing with Ben Harper. I can't pinpoint one particular song that was a standout; the whole concert was a standout.

Can't wait for the next tour; don't leave it so long between drinks.

Oh I am showing this post to my mum! She LOVES Pearl Jam, she knows all the songs, she listens to the bootlegs over and over saying she wishes she was there, but every time they come she chickens out because she thinks she's too old, then after each concert she wishes she'd gone! If they come again, I'm not taking no for an answer!!

That's silly. There was a man and woman aged in their 60s in front of me at the Brisbane show. They were there with their grandson who was a fan. The little boy got given a setlist at the end of the night and was thrilled.

was fuckin amazing eh donjon - sorry i didn't meet ya for a beer as suggested. were you at live on LS afterwards? we were, but were kept well busy witnessing a song and dance extravaganza put on by a special fella who turned up - did you meet him? he said it was his 45th birthday and he'd bought himself a JimBeam & Coke, and he proceeded to spontaneously bust out such classic tunes as "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?" and "The Heart Will Go On". The was also a sketchy looking dude who put on a spontaneous magic show for us - does anyone know who this was, cos he was actually fucking amazing - did some crazy arse shit with my sister as prop - anyone see this? well done on the tour anyway dude - here's to hopefully getting em back for more shenanigans in say 2012? rock on brother...

What a great show! Boots are available now by the way....will be downloading them at lunchtime! Can't wait to hear Release again!!!

    G Day gents!

Always a shame when you get home and know that there was a few that you didnt get to have a beer with. Yeah I was at LS. The first thing that fella said to me was "thank you so much for your family comin to my sisters funeral yesterday" :o:o

Hope you've settled back into work Deano. 2nd day back here...its tough

Refresh my memory...DonJon is Brendan right? Met so many new people on the tour and I cant remember all the forum names vs real names.

Work is OK...been flat out this week. Would much rather be on an endless PJ tour!!

Yeah its tough but had to be done. I was lucky to have gotten that much time off anyway. Did my fist bit of exercise last night since the Sydney gig. Sweated out about 95 beers (only about a qtr of tour intake ) and about 60 joints of Adelaide's finest 8-)

Adelaide boot sounds great   Geez Unthought Known is a great live track

I can't even begin to imaging how much alcohol you consumed over the whole trip. 60 joints!!!! The guy in Adelaide must have stocked you up real well.

I downloaded Flac version during lunch break but only listened to start of Release so far. Unthought Known is by far the best of the new songs to hear live.

Good luck with the exam results by the way!

my sydney travelling buddies and i have been saying "hey guys..." at the start of every sentence since adelaide. felt sorry for the guy - sure added to the atmosphere though... if only he knew some pearl jam songs it would've been perfect! my boot download's at 47%, can't wait to relive hearing those sweet sweet tunes again - i wonder if i'll be able to resist the urge to text vedder soup the songs as they come through my headphones!

ohhhhh no need to apologize!!! haha :)

been thinking about it for awhile and have decided Adelaide's my fave show of the tour for sure... just beautiful... :!:

Melbourne was epic and just rocking
Sydney wasn't too bad... lot of negative reviews but i think the days heat left me a little 'ugh' by showtime
Brisbane was a fantastic end to Oz, crowd was amazing...!
Auckland was fun, but seriously survival of the fittest, a shot out to all girls (and guys) that were harassed, glad you made it...
and Christchurch was close to Adelaide! love love LOVED it!

so many pics to upload 8-) and not of the band

OMG I'm laughing my ass off at Eddie pointing out the asshole near the front that keeps being rough and rowdy. He even gets him on the screen so everyone can recognise him. Hilarious.
