SHU alum here. They were pretty damn good during my years. I got there in 1990.
It has been tough sledding the last decade or so though...

Good back to back wins over Louisville and Pitt!

Having student season tickets was one of the best parts of college life.

The first game I went to was the year before I went to school there. SHU v GTown.
SHU lost to Michigan in the finals that year in OT on a bogus foul called on Gerald Greene...bastards..

Terry Dehere was the main man the years I was a student. Some great players around him though..

Wasn't Arthuras Karnishovas there as well at that time. I remember John Morton as well from that team. I'm a SJU alum from the Ron Artest years. He's actually a very nice guy for someone who's a knucklehead at times in the NBA.

Yeah, Karnishovas was there. I went to the Big East Championship when SHU played SJU.

Heck of a game between Georgetown and Duke, defense rules. As much as I can't stand Duke I must say they have some nice jerseys with that design within the uniform that I bet you will become a new trend.

One last thing why are all the coaches wearing sneakers. GO HOYAS

You don't see that too often BOTH Obama and Biden are at the game. BTW the coaches are wearing sneakers in honor of raising awareness for cancer and cancer research.

I really felt after the Texas win, UConn was going to be on a momentum run for the rest of the season and make it to the tournament. Forget it. I don't think they are going to make the tournament.

Yeah, I've said it before, but this team confuses the hell out of me. No heart whatsoever. The Texas game must've been a fluke.

Record crowd to see Orange host Villanova

    Associated Press

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The Feb. 27 game between No. 2 Villanova and third-ranked Syracuse is officially a sellout and will break the Orange's NCAA record for the largest on-campus crowd to see a college basketball game.
School officials said yesterday that 34,616 tickets had been sold for the night game in the Carrier Dome.

The current record also was set against Villanova, when 33,633 turned out March 5, 2006, to see the final home game of Orange star Gerry McNamara.

I'm not one for being impatient with firing coaches, but after today's disgrace at MSG against West Virginia, Norm Roberts must be fired after this season.

don't be bitter, this is just a down year for the huskies. As a St. John's alum, we've had a down decade with the Redmen.
