Lord knows I tried not to get this version of Elephant.  I have the mono,  have an all analog but this just mocked me every time o was on the Acoustic Sounds website.

These Atlantic reissues are pretty damn good too.  Definitely worth the price for the quality and all analog.

I just saw that Core was $60.  A Violent Femmes deluxe album for $124!  Wooooo boy.

Now that White Stripes album I can see Jack having his own pressing plant and access to og tapes making a beautiful record.

Acoustic Sounds has this 75th anniversary Atlantic series where AP has the deal, they are using Ryan Smith to master, plated and pressed at QRP, all analog, Stoughton tip on jackets, 45 RPM.  Considering MOFI would sell something inferior to this for $100 every day of the week, I actually think it's a good deal.  AP/QRP is the best.  When I buy from them I know I'm getting the highest possible quality, true analog.  I will pay $65 for that every day.

Listening to Core now.  It's spectacular.

I got one of the Phil Collin’s Atlantic 75’s from AP and it’s great. Want to pickup some of the Yes albums and Core, maybe a few others. You’re absolutely right about Chad and company producing the highest quality vinyl. It’s always great.

I'm trying to stop myself from buying the Coltrane stuff because I already have it.  But I am weak.

I'm focused on the CSN, late Genesis (Genesis,  Abacab), STPa I likely will end up with Hello and No Jacket Required too.

BTW, this White Stripes UHQR is insane.  It relentlessly punches you in the face with guitars and Meg's bass drum. So happy I got it.

A 2019 E.U. pressing of an early Sun Ra album also at times titled Sun Song.  Fine arrangements of big band post bop that show leanings toward Sun Ra's more futuristic output, especially the last cut, "Sun Song".   Not perfect, but overall, a very nice pressing.

Sun Ra And His Arkestra* – Jazz By Sun Ra

    Label:Not Now Music – CATLP158
    Format:
    Vinyl, LP, Album, Reissue, 180g
    Country:UK
    Released:Jul 9, 2019
    Genre:Jazz
    Style:Post Bop

"It's a sad and beautiful world"

Nice! Let me know how that In Utero sounds. I think I got a bad pressing. I’m thinking of getting a new one.
