nice. cranked my aic cd the other day. Lots of memories packed in there.
    Sevens great score!
Thanks. I just got Sevens from someone on the forum. I haven’t cracked the seal yet though.
I'd keep it sealed. Just because.
i mean what would be the point in playing it

if you have the lp already.

Is Fleetwood Mac Tusk , a used copy, worth paying 20 dollars for?

Silver and Gold!  Nice.  Don't see that in vinyl very often and it looks sealed.  Score!

Silver and Gold has been easily available new for years here in Europe on vinyl, only one version on discogs but probably been repressed a couple of times, can't still be the first press.  A little over £20 and not counterfeit like many others such as Unplugged, not sure of its availability in the US. Actually added it to my basket the other day after listening to my cd and remembering what a good album it is. Probably one of his best after the more we'll known records.

It's also quite an unusual album to have been repressed, can't really imagine there was ever a big demand for a repress.

  • Its available from amazon-esque swedish webstores even.

But how can it have hung around since 2000(?)

It just depends.  Remember that's a double record.  If it's a 1979 original in NM, it's probably worth $30.  If it's not in great condition or a mid 80s reissue, I'd probably get the BG/CB versions from a few years ago.

I have a 79 and it's a nice sounding record.  I just don't love Tusk.  I've always found it strange.

Seems incredibly unlikely which is why I believe its probably been repressed at least once. It's strange because people were asking the same question in 2012 on some old reddit I saw. Its quite hard to figure out, I would think anything pressed pre 2017 would have long vanished. There are a few anomalies like that on discogs. Could well be pressed with the same stampers. I believe the original has the embossed record label logo on the back of the sleeve.

Probably worth picking up either way as it's a reasonable price compared to many other NY albums and likely to vanish in the near future.

Also is it just me or is the sleeve a bit pixelated:)

I remember the original sleeve art on the cd looking pixelated.  This is 180g btw. very flat and very heavy, no hype sticker, but maybe when it was pressed nobody cared about grams.

Finally got around to spinning this one from a recent batch of things I'd picked up.  Being a fan of early Moby Grape, I was skeptical about this one, their last contractual LP with Columbia.  So what a surprise to spin this very cool LP!  And what's with the security guard on the cover?  He's the nice guy at the Nashville studio where they recorded this one in three in days in 1969 who turn his head when the boys lit up in the studio.  Loving this one!

Just ordered The Who Live at Leeds 3 LP set (half speed master) and Radiohead Kid A Mnesia 3 LP set too. Looking forward to getting a hold of these and giving them a spin!

You are going to LOVE that Who 3 LP Leeds set.  Well done!
Took over a month, but received my copy. Now just need to find a few hours of spare time, hahaha!!
A few local Melbourne stores had it so I picked it up online and should arrive early next week. The guys I normally buy from are very reliable and efficient.
Well would you believe they sent me the wrong album! The sent me the The Who: Live at Leeds, but just the 6 track LP! Still a half speed master but not the complete 3LP concert. Looks like I’m sending it back. I buy from these guys online, however they are only an hour away so looks like I’m taking a drive this weekend to exchange.

Had a couple of decent wins on that auction site. Got Nevermind deluxe 8LP a little over half the original price. Still Sealed. Glad I held off on that.

    Earthling £19 sealed.

Very rarely buy new records from there but will look more often now.

Oh bummer!  It will be worth the drive.  That 3 LP set is awesome!

Let us know how those live shows sound.

To me box sets with live shows tend to be more of a gamble than ones with demos/unreleased studio

I got the 1lp reissue already, so it would be for the live shows only. I’ve debated on that box forever

The Nevermind was still a little bit of a frivolous spend but I have all the originals and bought one deluxe edition of the others over the years, think this will probably be the last Nirvana record I buy. I can't think what else they could put out that would interest me. Delighted with getting Earthling at a sensible price, it's only black vinyl but doesn't really bother me.

They are the 2014 monos yes. IDK if there are plans for a reissue or not. I had the majority of them already so I decided this year to go ahead and complete my set by buying the ones I didn't have.

With vinyl prices so high, I've started looking at black vinyl versions of a lot of records when I'm buying new releases now. I've seen quite a few where they have dropped to about £16 here a few months after release. I've always usually gone for the limited indie exclusive etc but getting kind of tired of that when I see so many good deals for the regular version. I'm convinced there are less pressed of the black versions sometimes.

Black vinyl sounds fine, and some will even tell you it presses better.  That, I don't know.  But I do know it's easier to queue up a song in the middle of a side on black vinyl!
Generally speaking, I think the whole colored vinyl thing is a bit over-rated.  If you think about it, basing a vinyl purchase of color is sort of backwards in priorities.  The vast majority of old vinyl is black and analog sourced.  A big percentage (maybe the largest?) of today's vinyl is colored and the largest percentage of sourcing by a bunch is digital.

And also- let's face it- "Spin the orange circle" or "Spin the purple circle" just doesn't have the same ring, ya know?
