Smashing Pumpkins - Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness

    $59.99 used

    Good score that..

Reasonable price but remember the reissue was repressed so someone may have just been getting rid of the one that had sound issues. Mine had sound issues but I'm just going to live with it. You can't tell from the sleeve but if I remember rightly the tracks are pressed very close to the centre of the record. Even when you buy it new, you run the risk. I contacted the label but they claimed to know nothing of a repress but there are photos to prove. They never acknowledged the sound issues otherwise they would have had thousands asking for a replacement.
They claimed to know nothing of a repress that they did??
I was lucky to have got a copy that sounds perfect thank goodness.

Sorry I should rephrase that in that they said they knew nothing of the sound issues. I've seen US pressings which are clearly different on Side A. The European press is okay apparently.

They didn't admit to sound issues, they just quietly recut it. Super lame. The least they could have done is replaced people's disc ones.

I was lucky. bought MCIS the day it came out and never had an issues. I do remember that being a big deal with a lot of folks getting bad pressings.

You ever tried out listening to the order it was in on the 1995 6 disc import pressing?

I'm not really sure. This Will Destroy You is a post rock band, like Explosions in the Sky, but harder. If you check out and don't like a few tracks off either of those albums I listened then I wouldn't think you'd dig them Mae is more poppy rock/emo but it's one of my favorite albums bc its just nostalgic to me.
