pick ups from the past couple months

    Yeah Ian Brown.

TIM knows! Brownie is my man. 10 years ago tomorrow I saw the man live and met him after the show. Wonderful dude, very kind and cool. Everyday I wake up hoping for a new Roses album and a NA tour and everyday I am disappointed. But Blur was a real great surprise the other day atleast

    Yeah it was.

I have found his solo material kinda spotty, but this best of collection really does gather up the best of it. Especially the UNKLE stuff. Would have been nice for it to include the CD bonus stuff for Billie Jean and Thriller.

I keep hoping for a Roses US tour. Well and a blur one too. And Pulp. Hopefully they will remember there is more to the US and California and NYC. Like Chicago.

Got them both new for $25 each. The MFSL Blood on the Tracks is the BEST I have ever heard, so good.
That seems like a great deal!

R.E.M 7 in 83-88. This was expensive when it came out in December. Glad I waited because I got it half price plus 10% off from Universal today. £36 plus postage, not bad at all.

What's that like? Any good? How much different is it from Phantom Radio? Have you heard any of it yet, or have you just ordered it?
(If anyone's wondering, it's an album of remixes for Phantom Radio)

Just listened to it. I actually prefer it to phantom radio. The electronics seem to fit better if that makes sense. There's a couple of atmospheric takes too. I really enjoyed the moon gang take on No Bells on Sunday which doesn't have many vocals left on the track. On first listen I'd certainly recommend it.

local record store guy told me r.e.m.'s 'automatic for the people' is getting vinyl reissue. soundstage has them available already. http://www.soundstagedirect.com/rem-automatic-for-the-people-vinyl-lp.shtml

hopefully this pressing doesn't have warble on nightswimming like the late 00's one did.

I bought it from a Canadian dude on discogs for about $60. Kinda expensive BUT I don't see them for sale anywhere. However, they do still have the Class of 2013 for sale on their website and I also ordered that after hearing this 2012 version

Nice. I ordered the Class of 2013 after seeing your original post. Just arrived yesterday hoping to spin it later today.
