Finally got a copy of Medium Rare by the Foo Fighters on Discogs the other day. Pretty stoked about that.
And PJ_Soul....
Listened to the Neil album, I haven't decided on the boxset yet. But I think the album is supposed to be more artsy and "raw" than a commercially sellable album.
Google, Bobby Brown Live. Not the drugged out guy, but this hippy dude who recorded an album in his van with his dog, kind of reminds me of that.

Not that that makes it good.
Yeah, i get what they were aiming for - plus it was recorded in that record recording booth that JW keeps at TMR as a gimmick.... which is all fine. But it doesn't mean much (to me) if it also sounds like crap.

This one's a Grail for me, one of my favourite albums growing up, many a good time had listening to this! Hearing now for the first time on vinyl, such a great record, honest lyrics and awesome production from Butch Vig!
Everclear - Sparkle and Fade. Original from 1995 on green wax.
Love this album, i picked it up, along with So Much For The Afterglow, last year. Mine were both on black wax tho, think they are UK pressings. Arts back on tour now, have tix for their IL stop, cant wait!
Whilst in Leeds yesterday, checked out a couple of record stores and picked these up.
2000: Manchester
2006: Dublin; Leeds; Arnhem
2007: London
2009: Manchester

DUDE! Bombay Bicycle Club are one of my favs! Saw them twice last week here in NY. Also went to see Foals open up for Cage the Elephant. Both bands are fantastic live.
I picked up a new storage bin for my records. IKEA is pretty good for that.

PJ_Soul- surely you have the ultimate of PJ Vinyl collection! B-)
Lol, noooo. I'd say far from it Brian! Not that I'm complaining, because yes, I have nearly all of the LPs, which I am extremely happy about!! I believe the only official Pearl Jam LP releases I'm missing now are Soldier Field and Benny Hall. Actually, that's not even true, because I haven't gone for the big deluxe box set versions of Ten or Vs/Vitalogy either, since I don't really see the point. And I don't really do 7" records. I actually just gave away all of the PJ singles that I did have (which wasn't very many), since I just don't play them, and don't really care about them. So there are plenty of people who have shit loads of PJ singles along with all the LPs who mightily trump me with their PJ vinyl collections!

OMG I've missed a lot of posts on this thread. Damn having to turn off e-mail notifications not wanting an e-mail with EVERY post....
Anyway.....
Yesterday I scored: & yes that's signatures on the inside cover - yep FULLY SIGNED!!! Thing is, it's a very nice unit 3 albums, gorgeous cover etc, 2 artworks by a well know NZ artist inside. How could a girl resist eh? &&&&, so, background story...... The band is The Chills, a kind of old school NZ band. They were on our Flying Nun Records label back in the day, a very prominent NZ music label in the 80s & 90s. The label is known for having a very particular kind of jangly & noise driven guitar sound. So, this album is The Chills' 1st album in a while & it's called Somewhere Beautiful & this is a total score, if I do say so myself.

Yep, went into my local yesterday and they had three versions of each for I, II and III, standard for NZ$30, deluxe for $40 and the huge super deluxe's that come in big box's that look amazing for $199. I have most their original releases already but, could never find a decent copy of II, so grabbed the deluxe as I thought the price was very reasonable, plus interested to hear some of the bonus material... Sounds bloody great to these ears!
