    Elliott Smith--New Moon

Only 1 LP away from having them all. New Moon sounds fucking great.

nice, love that record too, it does sound awesome

which LP do you still have outstanding?
Figure 8. For some reason, it's always either too pricey at the shops or the packaging is jacked up. I'll get it soon, though.

Liam Finn's "The Nihilist" arrived today & it sounds great!!

    I LOVE MUSIC.

Played Neil's A Letter Home today, and it's really awful IMO. I will never play it again. What a let down. I bought it without knowing what was on it because normally everything Neil does is great. But not this time. OMG, his cover of On The Road Again is painful. The piano is an absolute travesty no matter how I try and interpret his intentions. I don't understand why he would put that mess on a record.

One guy in lost dogs is willing to trade a coke bottle ten for this.
I would trade my coke bottle ten for this in a second. But surely no one would ever do that trade.
Well this set is worth 100 on there website. I can't find a come bottle ten for anything less than $150. So if you were desperate for a coke bottle ten and wanted to save a few bucks its not a bad trade.

Even though I don't have much moola right now, I had to make an impulse purchase when I heard Sturgill Simpson on the recommendation from a friend. Acid-infused country. Not my normal cup of tea at all, but listen to the first track "Turtles all the way down" below and tell me you're not impressed. Incidentally, he is one of the few songwriters whose lyrics remind me of Eddie.

So jealous, this one is surely ripe for a reissue?!

I remember when this came out, they had it on the listening post at my local record shop and I would listen to it every day after school, until I had enough money to buy it.

I thought they just recorded it at Butch Vig's studio though, a quick look on the album's wiki page says Art produced it.

That's shitty to hear, I haven't listened to it. I preordered the boxset and have till this Friday to cancel it, I better get listening before Friday after your review.

So I just got this in the mail, and they sent it in a flimsy cardboard envelope. Like the same kind of floppy envelope you would normally courier paper in. :-?? Haven't opened the package yet, but I don't have to know it's damaged. Every corner is bent. :-L :-??
