    steamed salmon with a ginger soy scallion sauce
    some kind of Japanese greens with a shallot and brown vinegar vinaigrette
    carrot/lotus root saute

  • So yesterday the rain finally stopped leaving us with a beautiful day. As dinner time came around the sky turned beautiful colors begging us to come watch the sunset...leaving us with this as our dinner...

    Don't know what's on the menu tonight...but thought I'd post the most recent delicacy in our house:

    Asparagus and Red Pepper fritatta...EPIC flavor.

    Now THAT is a good vegetarian meal

  • mmmmmmm...hubby made his shrimp fajitas with red peppers and onions, with his own homemade guacamole last night....fantastic!

    it was very delicious although I ate three kakiages :sick: a bit too much

    yeah I am sure my wife would love to prepare 30 kakiages and a huge vat of udon soup for everyone
    you have any idea how many handbags that would cost me :lol::lol: ?

    and how was hells kitchen?

    hell's kitchen was really good....totally yummy!
    good food, good prices, nice atmosphere...and the BEST......hours and hours of convo with my friend i've not seen since 2002. just a GREAT night.

    you would be surprised how easy it is to make-less than 20 mins

    especially since our local japanese grocery has the kakiages already made for frying (or baking if you prefer)

    Leek and potato stew, with lots of beans, split peas, lentils etc (only I forgot to put them into soak so going to have to boil the hell out of them).

    Toast on the side spread with Marmite, then cheese put on top and microwaved, left to cool for a cheesy, savoury tasting bread. It tastes better than it sounds.
