That's wonderful. Read another thread. As long as you're here, sales aren't meaningless. Selling records enabled the band to have the career it enjoys today.

According to HDD, we're back in the top-50

    -- 49 PEARL JAM MONKEYWRENCH/REPUBLIC 11,293 --

HDD's chart doesn't include catalog titles, I think. "Lightning Bolt" fell two spots to No. 65 on the Billboard 200.

Not bad for only six weeks of sales. (I think the chart year ended two weeks ago.)

Back up the charts this week! #40 on Billboard 200.

    http://www.billboard.com/charts/billboard-200?page=1

This record seems to have some legs and should be well on its way to Gold status.

Why not release a third single and try get some airplay?

Both Sirens and MYM are dead I suppose on the radio?

"Sirens" is still at No. 6 on Billboard's Rock Airplay chart after 14 weeks. It is No. 21 on Hot Rock Songs (up a notch from last week). It is No. 5 on Hard Rock Digital Songs (down from No. 1 last week), but all four songs ahead of it are catalog titles.

So there's still a little life in that number. It hasn't crossed over to pop radio.

Looking at youtube, the Sirens video has gotten more views than the videos to Kings of Leon- Supersoaker and Nine Inch Nails - Come Back Haunted... so cool.

Yea they need to ride this as long as they can. Right when you think it will die down it moves up on the chart. Surprised it hasn't made it into top 40 radio. It's not like there haven't been 5 minute songs on there. Not many but there have been.

If that short film is any indication, that and Getaway are future singles. Speaking of future, Possibly Future Days as well.

I know people hate it here, but I really think SBM would be a super successful single.

Certifications cost money (because you have to apply for them and pay for the audit that certifies unit shipments). Sony no longer has an incentive to do that, and the band likely doesn't care enough to submit for certification on its own.

In case anyone's interested, here are Soundscan's numbers as of July 2013 for sales of Pearl Jam's first three albums:

    22 PEARL JAM TEN 10,023,878 ( 35,871 ) 13x P
    101 PEARL JAM VS. 6,011,278 ( 9,890 ) 7x P
    184 PEARL JAM VITALOGY 4,769,805 ( 6,824 ) 5x P

The number on the left was the rank among all albums during the 1991-July 2013 "Soundscan Era." The numbers in the millions were total sales. The numbers in the thousands were 2013 year-to-date sales. The last item is the RIAA certification.

    Great info. Thanks for posting!

Pretty crazy that Ten is #22 in that era considering all the giant pop acts that have come along in the last 20+ years.
