The Yankees will wear a patch above the interlocking NY on their home uniforms. And above York on their road uniforms to commemorate George. And a patch on their left sleeves to commemorate Bob.

When Jeter was talking to the Baseball Tonight crew about a half hour ago, I only saw an arm band on his left sleeve. There was nothing on the right.

Saw that about the patches on lo hud, going to be funny seeing the unis with a patch on the front. Very well deserved for both of them. Sad sad week. Both lived incredible lives

Leave it to George to go out with the spotlight. As a young Yankee fan growing up in the 80's, he drove me crazy with his antics and his arrogance. I always knew, though, that George would do whatever he thought would help the Yankees win a World Series. That was his goal every year. That's really all you could ask of an owner. Fortunately he eventually let his baseball people take more control of the baseball decisions and the Yanks started winning World Series. He certainly left his mark on the game.

This is why Girardi wasn't my choice for manager.

This is your reason? Really? I guess this outweighs a World Series title...

And, yo, to all you Yank fans, and I mean no offense by this whatsoever, but seriously....ALL fucking day with this? Really? It's not like the president died, or fucking Mother Theresa. Seriously. I could see showing this nonstop on YES, but every sports station. Jesus H Christ. Condolences.

One of the reason is what I should've said.

I didn't think it was going to be this big. But he changed sports in a way.

Between the World Cup, then Lebron, and now this, I'm going to slit my wrists - long ways.

It's WAY better than hearing about Bret Farve.

Come on, dude. It's the all star game. I don't know the specifics because I fell asleep but there were plently of reasons for Girardi to hit Beltre ahead of Arod. The primary one being, Beltre has better numbers this year.

It's not just that. He should've pinch ran A-Rod for Papi. Also, how about his over-managing last year against the Angels in the LCS when he took Robertson out when he was doing just fine? I'm mad they didn't give Torre this team.
