Rumors of $70 mil +. Lot of dough, but read this take

Would love for them to get involved. I am not optimistic though.

Yeah recent history suggests that we wont get him but at some point the Yanks need to step up and grab one of these guys especially since next years free agent class blows. If George was alive he would definitely be a yankee.

    MAYBE Abreu would DH?

    If so, what happens with A-Rod?( i don't think he'll get a life-time ban)

Plus, don't the Yankees want to get down to $189 MIL?

I KNOW Michael Kay was WRONG when he said the Yankees were going to take Mike Trout, because they had the NEXT pick after the Angels 2 picks(#24 & #25). The Brewers had the NEXT pick(#26) and took a pitcher and then the Mariners took a SS with pick(#27). I actually think the Red Sox with the #28 pick was gonna take Mike Trout( i know they were scouting him) because the Red Sox did take a HS outfielder with that pick(#28). Yankees had the #29 pick, so i don't know where Kay got that the Yankees had the next pick after the Angels. I guess he can't let the facts get in the way of a good story>

Angels got that pick from the yanks as the compensation pick for tex. not that that has anything to do with your point but I always like to point that out

Best player on this team by far this year. 2.33 ERA...phenomenal. CY Young candidate numbers

Agreed. He should definitely be in the running. He'd a have a better record if they gave him more run support. Let him start the 9th.

You know, they really gotta make sure Mo's arm is good and rested for next year, right?

In all seriousness, I don't have a big problem with it. Lot of pitching recently and not locating

Kuroda has had a good year and will be considered for Cy Young. Though, as of right now Scherzer has to win it.

And Cano's contract? And could the Yankees re-sign Kuroda too?

If arod gets 150 games next year for sure. And probably even if not. Might be tight filling it out but Abreu would only have $10 mil or so counting to the tax, not the biggest deal.

If Arods out we would have 100mm to spend
