When 4 of your 5 starters have an era in the 1's for the month. You're gonna win games

This team has a much different vibe than it did a few weeks ago before that west coast swing and they are not even hitting up to their potential.

Great job from Girardi getting Soriano rest and getting through the last couple innings.

    Since the KC series

    2 of 3 from KC
    Sweep in Oakland
    1 of 3 to Angels
    2 of 3 from Detroit
    2 of 3 from Tampa
    Sweep of Mets

Hopefully they get a win tomorrow with the pitching match up and take this series. Which will set up a real fun series this weekend in DC.

The game last night was so much fun. Turner field was packed (not a normal thing for them especially a Monday night). It sounded like a 50/50 split fan wasy but it was probably more like 60% braves 40% yankees.

Lots of yankee chants and Let's go jeter's it felt so good to be around yankee fans again :D

Nick's catch was fantastic and really put the breaks on the rally they were trying to mount plus the double play started by nova and that hot shot that Tex caught all really helped.

Give the braves some credit there were a couple times i thought the yanks would open it up but they containted them.

Can't wait to go down tonight and watch CC pitch. Taking a half day off of work today so i can catch batting practice.

Yeah, man. It sounded like there were a lot of Yankees fans there. You could hear Lets Go Yankees chants on TV and all. Good stuff. Hoping for a series win today.

    This is some shit...

Raul Ibanez is the first 40 year old in franchise history to hit 10 home runs in a season.

Really? I would have never thought that but then again I can't think of any 40 year olds that played for the Yankees. If pressed I probably would have guessed Don Baylor.

He's fitting in quite well. Love the addition of him on the team.

Reminds me a little of when they added David Justice.

Have I said that I miss Kim Jones? The coverage on YES/My9 is not the same without her.

Of course two runners left on in the first. At this point it might make sense for opposing pitchers to just intentionaly walk the bases loaded vs the Yankees and then go from there. :fp:

The Atlanta Braves chop song is really annoying when the Yankees are losing.

CC clearly didn't have his stuff but keeping them in the game. Would be nice if the offense could get something against this schmuck.

Agreed, I was annoyed with it last night when they were doing it at idiotic times. Like going into the bottom of the 9th down 3-0.

    Crazy.

Gehrig is by far my favorite Yankee I never saw play.

    Indeed.

Gehrig would be in my top 3 that I never saw. Joe D is first for me. Mickey and Babe would be tied for a spot in the top 3.
