I am excited to see some of this young talent coming through. I liked Gardner right from the start. I also like Cervelli and hope they keep these guys around for a long time. The next few years should be interesting as Jeter, Jorge, and Arod are climbing up on their late 30's.

What's the story with this Thames guy? Seems pretty good too...
Pick up my debut novel here on amazon: Jonny Bails Floatin (in paperback) (also available on Kindle for $2.99)

Yeah, the team is pretty exciting and Gardner is really proving himself.

I like Cervelli too but not sure he has room on this team long term with Romine and Montero.

Thames stinks in the field, absolutely stinks but can hit a little bit

Not necessarily. This is only the fourth time the Yankees lost a season series there. The others were 2000, 2001 and 2007. Overall the Yankees are 21-22 there.

Back home. Feels like they havent been home at all. Of 34 games so far, they have only played 12 at home. That's tied for the fewest with Atlanta.

Curtis Pride. Also played with the Expos in 1993 when they made a late-run to catch the Phillies in the NL East.

Haha, so in the SWB game yesterday Montero ran over the pitchers mound after he lined out and since the crying bitch Braden was pitching, it went basically unnoticed.

    Twins fan here.

Here's to a good series. That was some good baseball last year between these two teams.

Identical 22-12 records between the two clubs so I'd say it's a pretty even matchup.

I noticed today that both teams have the same record, should defniitely be a good series. I love watching Mauer play, still bitter at Morneau about getting the MVP over Jeter.

Yeah it's pretty bizarre. The Twins are obviously a good team and have been for quite a while so it's always strange to me that they don't play better in Yankee stadium. I mean even the Orioles and Royals usually take one from you guys during the year.

Yeah, frustrating, happens though. Still took 2 out of 3. Big week coming up. Tampa just keeps winning, would be nice to take both games against them.

The only others to hit a grand slam off Rivera was Bill Selby in 2002, Bobby Bonilla and Geronimo Berroa in 1995 when he was a starting pitcher.
