    Yeah, and he's starting today.

Is that game on MLBN, or anywhere else I can see it? Apart from Extra Innings?

The At Bat app says it's on MLB Network. But the Comcast app has both the Jays and the Yankees game listed. Not sure.

    Hmmm.

Anyway, the girlfriend picked up camping tix for the Folk Fest. I didn't like much about the lineup.....but then I heard Levon Helm announced. Gonna be a good time.

Oh nice, I think we may have to do that this year. It's the weekend of August 19th?

Absolutely. The one band I wish I could see more than anything - ashame they're half dead. It'll just be cool to be smoking some bud on the hill and listening to some Band material, even though Levon doesn't have the same voice he used to. Dude looks super old now. Crazy.

No doubt. I think I may have to make this happen. Saw him in Austin but it was right after his whole throat thing and he couldn't sing. Kind of pointless. Have been meaning to get up to a midnight ramble but this will do for this summer.

Did the sweep to Boston wake up the bats? I still wonder why they didn't hit like this against Boston.

Yeah, I wanted to hit the Midnight Rambles with MMJ, Warren Haynes or Moe, but of course I found out about all these after the fact. Damnit. Definitely would be an awesome experience.

And, do it. Midnight drunk fests. Do it.

I think this might be a first. Cashman said the Yankees got Gordon when the Phillies sent an email to every team in baseball that he was going to be available.

My understanding is that he had an opt out of this week if he wasn't on the Phillies big league team and there was another team that would give him a spot. I guess Cashman said today that the Phillies sent a memo around last week saying he would be available as they didn't have room on their big league team. So, the Yankees picked him up and he's starting today.

He had an opt-out clause. I guess you can get that if you accumulate a certain amount of years.

pretty quick since we're in the third, one at-bat over four pitches by Texas.

don't expect it, they wouldn't bring montero up unless Martin was on the DL or significantly hurt.

Great job from Gordon. That's his name, right? Too bad he hit Beltre but the wheels could have fallen off there.

It's nice to have a catcher playing that doesn't throw the ball to centerfield and actually gets runners out when they try to steal.

And can hit, and can generally do the things a major league baseball player should be able to do.
