Yeah well, we didn't exactly send out CC to pitch against him, did we?

Brian Gordon's got a nice story but he probably shouldn't be starting at this level.

Tex has a no trade clause. He's not going anywhere.

That's why I posted this. That has quite a few contradictions in it. The hitting coach saying he is bored in triple a is pretty telling. Just let him have at it in the big leagues and see what happens. Wouldn't you be annoyed and bored if Cervelli was ahead of you in the big leagues.

of course, but you can't show that outwardly. Montero has to channel it and produce and show the Yankees everything they've been touting him as.

Agree completely. Easier said than done though, I am sure, especially for a kid with that talent.

Not bringing him up only makes me worry that they are holding out to trade him and that they don't want him to struggle in the majors and lose value. I would not be happy with that unless an ace is coming back.

haha, I am perfectly fine with having Tex for the remainder of his contract. Think he will be perfectly fine. Prince is having a moster year and he is young, but they have other holes to fill coming up. I am happy with Tex. Now if we are talking Pujols, you might get me to change my mind.

at the risk of sounding redundant. Former Yankee Nick Johnson is injured again. Sliding into 3rd base awkwardly.

Yankees being perfect gamed through 4 innings. Not a good way to lose on Old Timer's Day.

2 home runs by the Yankees tied it at 3. But Ty Wiggington hits his 2nd HR to break it 4-3

Yeah, man. Great comeback and great day. Was fantastic seeing number 6 and 51 in pinstripes again. Just fucking awesome. The Tino homerun during the old timers game was a highlight.

Crowd during the actual game was a bit subdued, probably beacause of the slow start and the long day in gerenal. Great time though and great win.
