seriously, how is taking your foot off the bag not an error? it goes as a fielders choice? wtf. the only thing he choose was to not record an out.

    That's definitely an error.

should be, but it's not officially one.

castro should be sent back to single A for the play  not to mention his other 15 errors to lead the majors.

So despite the fact that he's hitting .315+ as a 21 year old rookie...he should be sent down to A-ball?
Certainly I agree that he needs work on his D, but Castro is gonna be a beast!

Also, while Castro did come off the bag waaaaay early, if it really came down to it...90% of the outs at second on a DP shouldn't actually be called. Nobody is touching the bag when the have the ball in hand. Not to make excuses for Castro's obvious non-touch...but the foot drag over the bag isn't touching it. Hell, I did that when I played ball...most often I never touched the bag at 2 and it counted...

imo, every out at second or any other base should be a legit ball in hand, foot on base situation. i would say most are.

maybe single A was a bit rough....perhaps a trade to the bad news bears would be proper. i'd take a 250 hitter with no power vs a 315 hitter with no power, if said hitter could field and record should be outs.

the non out of course leads to aram choosing the force at 3rd when he could have cut the runner down at home. Wells goes into near meltdown and the game is over.

River Ave blues isn't my favorite, just too much and I rarely read a whole post but always scan it and that was the first place saw that play. Hilarious, thankfully the game was well in hand.

Yeah, the snark isn't even my biggest problem. Everything is just such a big deal and needs 3,000 words written on it, it seems.

haha, I hear you. They almost think the length makes it better when it actually does the opposite. I don't need an essay on Andruw Jones ineffectivness (hypothetical but wouldn't be suprising).

If you dislike River Ave because of snark, would NoMass make your head explode?

so we're complaining about this? It's not like Rivera has pitched every day since the West Coast trip. He pitched June 5, then June 10, then June 16, then June 18 and today.

so my boss was down on the field sat during warmups with his family. Cano was standing right in front of them. Cano is playing catch with somebody and the 10 year old kid goes..."Dad, what if he misses it?" Cano says "Little man, i never miss".

I agree, but it's pointless to go on about it. most managers are wedded to it.
