Jesus, the team just went on a west coast swing where they won 6 out of 9 and faced something like 7 pitchers with a 3 ERA or lower. It's one game.

To be fair, I wasn't expecting them to win a game against Lester when we have Garcia out there.

Certainly think we can win the next two though.

No doubt, the fact they even had a chance to win the game after the Garcia start is impressive.

I hear you, man. It blows losing to them. Remember in 2009 though, the Yanks were 0-9 against them to start the season and that turned out alright.

haha, well keep that in mind. This is also not the team the Yanks will be finishing the season with. I am pretty certain Freddy Garcia will not be starting for the Yanks come September.

so is everyone off the ledge after last night's game? some of the posts in here are almost as negative as the in-game tweets from Yankee fans.

Xavier, you see Ian O'Connors article this morning? Posada released by the All Star Break if he doesn't start contributing. You think this is the case?

I've seen it. I'm getting tired of reading all of these. I hope that Posada has more nights like last night so he can go out in peace. More importantly than the speculation of his job security, let's hope his son makes it out OK after his surgery today.

I hear you and I am too. Would hate to see it end that way. Just curious.

His son is having another surgery today? Something new wrong?

This is from the last paragraph on the Posada sidebar in the POST:

Before tonight’s game, Posada will deal with a challenge in his personal life. His son, Jorge Jr., is scheduled to undergo surgery today. This will be the ninth surgery for the 11-year-old, who has craniosynostosis, a condition in which an infant’s skull bones do not fuse properly.

Jesus, I didn't realize he has had that many. I knew about all the surgeries in 2001 and his condition, but damn. Last time I saw a pitcure or video of him he looked good.

I don't see how the Yankees are being "bitches". Lester didn't seem to hit Teixeira intentionally, and it only happened once. You can't fire back every time somebody gets hit by a pitch. If it seems intentional, then yes, I understand the need to retaliate. They can't lose their heads just because it's the Red Sox.

yea thats really what im getting at. not the W vs. L. I dont care they lost last night. I do care about being 6-1 vs the Red Sox. I do care about the hit batters, ortiz bs when he hit the homer, not showing any toughness back, looking dead, papelon bs after arod k, having no fire, body language, etc etc. I would've said the same thing after a series sweeps or winning streak too. Just my opinion and observation so far this year. Last night was just an example. Again -- i hope im wrong.

dude you know dam well they hit us every fucking game for the past 10 years...i have been saying this here for many years

    don't put the blinders on

he hit 2 guys in the first..not only that...our 1st basement is now banged up

just time to throw a few high and tight ...maybe even "accidentally let one get away"
