With the Yankees it's not so much winning a game as it is cashing in your chips. It's so fucking perfunctory and boring.

really? a 103 win season is boring? 12 or so walk off wins? 3 of which against your precious twinkies. you're right, what a bore. 7 players with 20+ homeruns, who wants to watch that?

don't be upset that you haven't beaten us yet this season.

you don't wear jealously very well, do ya?

Sabathia is a good pitcher. It just doesn't change the fact that he's an giant tub of lard. It's testament to his talent (and the game of baseball) that he's had as much success as he's had.

At the very least he should straighten his cap. That crooked look just makes him look like a tool but he's a Yankee so maybe it makes sense.

    do you watch baseball?

who gives a damn how big he is? no one cared how big david wells was when he pitched a perfect game and won a world series. likewise, no one cared how fat david ortiz was when he beat the yanks.

you my friend, should be much more concerned with the outcome of the game and less with the weight of the pitcher or the way he wears his hat. duensing only weighs 195 and wears his brim curved, but i think i would prefer the big guy with a straight brim on the mound.

how about that preparation as well? keep talking shit....

When it comes to conditioning Sabathia makes David Wells look like Cal Ripken. That perfect game wasn't that special: I could've thrown a perfect game against the 1998 Twins.

There are better examples of conditioning in baseball than Cal Ripken.

I find Lou Gehrig's streak more impressive when factoring in mode of transportation, sports medicine advancements, oh yeah and the fact that he was fighting for his life towards the end.

Cal is a fat toad, just like CC and Wells.

Rest assured if my Twins fail to take down the Yanks in the ALDS I will root for whoever plays against them next.

Wouldnt it bemuse you to root for the team that eliminated your team,
so at least you can say
" At least I got beat by The Champs,..."

I got to admit ... as a Sox fan mind you ... this Yankees team was/is not the Yankees teams of the recent past. It's been a long time since I've seen a Yankees team have this much fun on the field. They'll never admit it, but, I think they are channeling the '04 Red Sox ... with Swisher playing the role of Kevin Millar.

One of the best things to happen this year for the Yanks may have been Xavier Nady going down ... because Swisher might not have made it out of that awful May he had with Nady still there.

completey agree. it's funny you mention swisher's role. i was comparing him to 2004 johnny damon with the sox the other day to my friends. it's amazing how one guy can transform an entire clubhouse. i remember watching a yankees preview during the preseason and they were interviewing swisher and i thought to myself, "who the hell is this clown?" didn't think this guy would stand a chance in the clubhouse.

but you also have to credit girardi for the club's attitude. while most yankee fans miss torre, girardi is a breath of fresh air. good to get a younger manager in the mix.

It is boring. I'd rather watch a team develop it's talent and have success than throw piles of cash at free agents. The Red Sox and to a lesser extent the Angels do the same thing and it's just as irritating.

I'm not worried: Blackburn will shut down your Kate Hudson dating, metrosexual Yankees on Friday.

It's pretty interesting that you are cyberstalking me in a different thread and demanding that I answer you.

Incidentally half the names you mentioned aren't that great of players compared to the rest of the roster and the other half have been playing for 10 or more years. The Yankees haven't produced a prospect anyone gives a shit about in a long time.

I'm fairly certain Bill Smith gave a rats ass about Hughes since that was one of the players he wanted for Johan Santana.

6:07 is first pitch if there's not a rain delay. Try to enjoy the game since baseball is supposed to kind of fun..

pretty impressive feat... you were able to meet and get to know every yankee fan in the world. i congratulate you sir.

and ps - if you want me to generalize an entire fan base, you aren't making twins fans look very good with your ignorant, unresearched, immature remarks.
