Why do many of you stand up during the show?

I don't mind standing for the entire show. it makes rocking out easier.
that said, do we really have to stand for "just breathe" and "the end"?
that could be an excellent opporotunity to conseve energy.

People who are used to emo concerts must have quite the shock at a PJ concert with everyone standing, dancing, singing, fist pounding, etc. It's scary for them, like a Minnesota Presbyterian at a Southern Baptist revival meeting, they probably think "these people are crazy!". :roll:Princess KJ wrote:Funniest thing I have read in a long time. Hey, I thought I was the only Princess KJ on the boards!

first of all, it's bs that people were yelling at you - i mean it's crappy that they would do that to you.
second of all, i think it's great that you have a friend named Chaz. we should all be so lucky.
Chaz is also a big PJ fan and PJ concert frequenter, and is very friendly. If the band comes around to NJ or NY next year and you plan on attending, I could introduce you, and just maybe you'd hit it off... Then you'd be "One of the lucky ones. I refer to those whose who have friends named Chaz, yeah..."0 -

At the ballet? When you pee?
Just sit down already. It would enhance everybody's experience if we could all just take it easy. These PJ concerts can drag on for two hours or more. Do you realize the long term damage you could be risking to the lower joints, ligaments, and tendons of your lower extremities? Don't you get worn out?
The only thing more frustrating than the incessant standing up at rock shows is how some people insist on singing along to the songs. I believe the BAND is being paid to sing, not you. But I digress, somebody covered this already. It would be nice if they would turn the volume down on those speakers. I sat close to them once and boy oh boy were my ears ringing!

I think this must be from the same poster who started the thread 'Enough with the singing!', if not maybe they should hook up and go together? Apologies if this has been said already, got tired of reading.<a href="http://s952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/?action=view¤t=domo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i952.photobucket.com/albums/ae8/catkinson_2009/domo.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>0

This was the funniest part of this thread, for me. I really don't think the seats were just leftover from a previous gig . . .I just need someone to be there for . . . me

I don't sit because i don't know who's sorry ass was sitting in that seat before me.
I heard you can get hemoroids from sitting on a seat where a hemoroidal ass has sat.

Oh... and Yes.. i stand at restaurants, operas and movies, too. People get a bit annoyed and say shit... but one flash of my Smith and Wesson Peacemaker usually shuts them up.Allen Fieldhouse, home of the 2008 NCAA men's Basketball Champions! Go Jayhawks!

You posted the exact same thing on the DMB warehouse boards. How can Pearl Jam and DMB be your favourite band ever? Me thinks you doth have too much bitterness on your hands. It makes me feel better that both boards aren't taking you seriously.

I can promise you 2 things - it is a joke, and i have never and will never be spending time on the DMB board. don't get me wrong, they're OK. but I only have love for PJ message boards. if there's a post like mine, check the time stamp. somebody may have liked my creative hilarity and decided to "borrow" it for the DMB board. it doesn't really work as well though, unless somebody also started a "don't sing at concerts thread" too.0 -
