    There seems to be something about the 9th of November ... It was the date of the terrible events of the Kristallnacht in 1938. And 22 years ago today the Berlin wall fell, and the disintegration of the GDR began and with it, a totally new life for me and my family and all the people living in the former GDR. Amongst many other things, I wouldn't have been able to go on this forum not to speak of a trip to the States if that wouldn't have happened.
