who the hell is scott l---an?!!??!?!?

idk if he's on here but he's in a lot of the fb groups. I've done trades with him before with no issues.
okay...because he shows up as TF's friend, and well, everybody is his friend...but then again, I don't know who you are...
yea i've got several ppl i don't know on my friends list from PJ groups. I don't use fb in a very personal way - if I'm honest i use it more for stuff like bands and news than actual people. I think some people will friend you just so that they can pm you without the message going into "other"
hmmm...I had some guy who wouldn't quit messaging me, he was a friend of a friend, or some fan of the same band I am. I kinda stopped accepting friend requests unless I actually know a mutual friend IRL.
FB for me is the same way you use it, I only really use it to keep up with bands, my PJ friends, and enter stupid contests. People I know in person; but aren't part of my PJ craziness, get mad at me because I won't friend them on FB...I told them, "I don't want the drama".

A few amazing concert announcements are just what I needed!!! :)

HAHAHAH spoke too soon! 2 of my favorite bands of the moment announced shows on the same date here. Not cool.
That happened to me this past weekend.. Who are your 2 conflicts?
Alabama Shakes with Father John Misty and Lake Street Dive

Seen the Shakes once, but was at a day festival thing, so not full set--plus this time will be with new music. Equally as big of a draw is Father John Misty, who I've been DYING to see since his first album, and it's never worked. At a cool venue as well.

Never seen Lake Street Dive, and also have been absolutely dying to see them for a while, and again, things haven't worked out. This show is also $20 cheaper.

So I don't know. Weighing the pros and cons, I think I'd pick Lake Street Dive. Boyfriend wants to go to the Shakes/FJM show. Bleh.
That's a tough call. I wanted to see Lake Street Dive at Roo last year but the schedule conflicted with another band. I would go with whoever tours less often haha

I live in the midwest now...EVERYONE tours less often lol

I have half an hour to decide before the first presale. I really don't have a freaking clue. I wish it was more clear cut, but this is a super hard decision.

Ultimately, can't go wrong. Super pumped!

Aaaand rejected from the job I wanted the most.

On the plus side, had a great interview today for another company I'd be happy to work for. Just sucks the rejection took the wind out of the great interview, as first place was the place I wanted to work at the most/has the most relevance to what I eventually want to do.

Good god. Never would I have thought it would be this hard to get a job.

Mr RK freaked out over the heater making a funny sound, I never heard it and he insisted I call the heater people. $90 service call later, we were told "woodpeckers like to tap on the gas exhaust to attract their mates".

Oh, so Mr. Heater Guy said, "next time you hear the sound, go outside and you'll see him up there". I took a pic of the woodpecker up there, Mr. RK still didn't believe me, then he was home, heard it, and I told him to go outside and look...yup, looks just like that video.

Got home fine. Just very slowly and avoiding hills. I was looking forward to getting a jumpstart to the weekend laundry only to learn that the washing machine is broken. Now I have a washer full of water and dirty clothes. Repairs can't be scheduled until Monday. There are 7 people in this house who need clean laundry. I guess I'll be getting reacquainted with the laundromat this weekend.

Glad you got home safe, but--yikes--about the washing machine. One thing I remember about going to the laundromat on the weekends is to go early in the morning when most people are sleeping off the night before.

and be glad your washing machine isn't in the garage...ours was in the garage, and it was cold outside, and it broke mid-cycle...did I mention how fun it is to try to chip out all your clothes in a washing machine that is frozen?
Took 2 weeks to get a new one...but the store fucked up, and we ended up with the washer for free.

Getting the machine for free is just good karma after having to pay $90 to find out you had woodpeckers. ;) And I think I would have pushed the whole frozen thing into the street, clothes and all.

The frozen washing machine was in a house we were renting...it had been snowing for a few days. That was back when we were poor-living paycheck to paycheck, I couldn't afford to leave all the clothes in there. Man, they sure were smelly by the time the new washer came. image
