WH you obviously know a LOT more about animals than I do - however my friends cat had this problem where she was peeing everywhere BUT her litterbox. It was pee, not spray, but maybe the info could help you anyway. I took her to the vet while I was cat-sitting and it turned out she had a UTI. Fast forward two years later, same thing happened again. There was so explanation for why she got a UTI, but we speculated that it might be because he wasn't changing the litter enough. The vet explained the reason she was peeing everywhere was cuz she associated the painful urination with the litter box itself.

I kinda thought spay was like a territorial thing though. Did you get a new cleaning product that you use in the house? Maybe he's pissed cuz he can't smell his scent anymore. Or maybe there's a new cat sneaking in?

Lucky that it was the first in a long time...I wish I could say that, I have chronic headaches...but there has been an increase in number lately...since like October or so...it's ridiculous...I would like to blame the weather too, I think that may be the culprit, because we didn't get a fall, it went summer to winter and has been pretty cold ever since...

My poor cat. He's been locked in my room for two days.. Going to go talk with my vet and see what we can come up with. Also.. Looking into renewing my vet tech license as there's a large and small animal college up in Denver.. Really considering it....So please keep me in your thoughts and prayers, ( whatever you do) regarding this. As I really miss being around animals as a job.. I want to go to work for the ASPCA again. So please just keep me in thought over this..

I was actually just talking with my mom about this a few days ago. The only reason I decided not to go in for vet tech (my first college had a program for it) was because I don't think I could deal with the ignorant owners of animals. All the sadness of hurt and sick animals I could handle, even the ones who were abused. But not the owners.

I used to own and run a rescue. Believe me.. It is very hard to see the asinine stupidity and outright arrogance of some of these people. But in the end we do the things we do to rescue the animals from these situations, and to help educate the public better, so I actually miss it. I contacted the school today. Should be getting some info soon!

Lol! I am guilty of this as well!! Esoecily since the rescue was run from my house!! But each time in the end, those forever people walked in, and you just knew... That that was where that cat or dog or goat or fish belonged. ( lol yes I once "rescued" a beta fish.. And then a year later three Groupers). It made me giggle, because fish are smart.. But really fucking simple too!! And yet they are so complex to care for! My favorite fish fact.. Is that if you have current fish in a tank of separate species, and want to add either a new species, or more fish to the current species,.. After you've acclimated the little newbie(s) in their Baggie to the water temp of the tank, (24 hours), you turn off all the lights, so that it's REALLY dark. Let the new fishers go.. Wait fifteen seconds..( some fish are aittle slow.. Like "special" slow) and then turn the lights back on. Once the lights come back on, everyone( the fishes) scrambles for a new territory, and peace is engaged. Total trip!! But it works.

  • Ident.. Somehow I missed your earlier post in response to my kitty issue. He has no UTI and still uses his litter box. What tells me it's stress related is it's urine as well as spraying, but it's never in the same spot. I think he's just a really nervous cat. We upped the strength of the pheromones, and it seems to be helping. So we'll see what happens. I am willing to try anything.

So I have this ex boyfriend from when I live in Kentucky, who just won’t let go…I’ve unfriended him on FB and everything and he knows I’m married now and he still keeps trying to contact me…it’s really getting on my nerves, I don’t know what more to do other than ignore him…but seriously, he just won’t let go…and we haven’t been together since 2007, and he still holds a torch for me, like he’s always telling me I’m the one that got away and it’s really uncomfortable…the only good thing is he’s in KY and I’m in OR…but he doesn’t know how to take a hint….GAH!

Have you actually blocked him on all forms of electronic communication, because you can from email to facebook, etc.. I know this because I had to do this several years ago as well...ignoring him did not work, every few months a message would pop up, would delete it and not respond but they never stopped. Block the crap out of him and if you know some common people tell them if they share any of your info with him they jeopardize their relationship with you. It's the only thing that worked for me.

I haven't blocked him...I will have to look up how to do that on FB this weekend...I have a new email address so he doesn't have that, and a phone number since we had last spoken on the phone and yeah, I will definitely look into that though, I've never had to block anyone on FB before...thank you for the suggestion!!!

I second this. It's no fun being stalked but the best you can do is take control of your online presence, block him on every platform as NorthernDragon suggested & I'd change your profile photos too. I had changed mine to a photo of block letters "go away" for months before I felt assured he wouldn't find me. Changing your email address is not nearly as daunting as it might seem. I would do that as well. And make sure the photos you're tagged in are not on anyone's PUBLIC profile, including profile & cover photos.

Yeah, I recently did change my email, so that's not a problem, he doesn't have it...I try to untag myself when people tag me, I hate being tagged in photos on FB it annoys me because then I get alerted everytime someone comments on it...and I usually could give a flying fuck...lol But I'm definitely going to block him and I might change my pic too...thanks for that suggestion...

anytime. It goes to the "out of sight out of mind" idea. Eventually they get sick of the stone wall and go after someone else.
