oh man, i have that problem a lot. i have chronic back pain too...and because of other health conditions, asthma being one for me too, cannot take narcotic pain relievers...and unfortunately nothing else ever really helps.
Look up the med...or if you want to list it here, I can research it a little bit for you. I'm sure used to doing that. Maybe I can find some info that can help re: the right med...or "exactly" why your pharmacist is saying that...perhaps its only that you cannot use it with Advair or another inhaler....or something that you could discontinue on a temporary basis while you need the pain relief? It's worth looking into.
I was trying some yoga...on my own...BIG MISTAKE..to try to relieve some of my pain. Note to self and others...GO TO a YOGI trainer...oh man oh man oh man...i caused myself SO much more pain. Word to the wise.....
Anyway, if you would like me to check it out, with my nursing background, I have tons of sources at my fingertips. Just in case.

If you can dig up a 2 year old, let him walk on your back while you lay face down on the bed...works wonders for me!
And as a bonus, he just thinks he's playing by jumping/walking on Grandma!

finally finished the first Twilight book--after juggling being sick with my son and husband's schedules and a million other things. phew. a really great book. she's a great writer. determined to finish the next 2 before seeing the third movie, mainly because I want to go into it without the movies images and actors running through my head as well. I want to see what my imagination conjurs up without the influence of the movie.

yes it does....whiskey does that too..walks on me when i'm sleeping then he sleeps next to me...crazy cat
Sweet pea walks in a circle around me 3 times, then kneads on my pillow for 10 minutes, then completely takes it over since it's her favorite place to sleep, occasionally hitting me in the face with her tail :roll:
