I've seen that "God Damn America" clip over and over again but I haven't heard anything else that would suggest that Reverend Wright hated white people.. and if you listen to the full "God Damn America" clip (which is long.. it's about 30 minutes long), you'll realize that it's not what you think... it's a very positive speech... taking a single sound byte and repeating it doesn't mean anything.

OK so I thought you were democrat....sorry. People call me a conservative republican...I usually don't get offended by it. And for the record, I don't know if you were talking directly to me but i never called somebody a socialists or a facists. And on the czar issue...nobody talked about until recently(as far as I know) so i didn't even know about it.And I don't believe everything foxnews tells me, as a matter of fact I don't even watch foxnews except for Beck.And on the health care reform...I have no idea how many people are in favor of it. Somebody earlier said 70% and I was interestd on where they got that and I haven't heard yet. Again i'm sorry i called you a liberal or a democrat. I just come on here and try to connect with people and maybe learn something. Yes sometimes I get a little defensive...i'm only human. But I try to listen to what people have to say. Apology accepted. to be honest, I did vote for Obama and I'm glad I did. I'll do it again. I think he's a great president and I'm proud I supported him. But I'm generally pretty down-the-middle politically. Although lately I've been pretty much only on the democratic party's side... A Czar in the American Political sense is just an advisor to the president with no powers but someone who does have a specific understanding of a specific issue. Sort of like a consultant... See, I'm having trouble buying this new source because last week, organizers were claiming that ABC reported 1,000,000 people until ABC made a press release saying they said no such thing.. then the organizers claimed that it was the "Park Police" who had released an "Official Crowd number" of 1.8 million.. except Park Police haven't released official counts since the Million Man March in the early 90s. Now Glenn Beck is saying that the University of Indiana (which doesn't do official crowd estimates) is "saying" 1.5 million.. When every reputable source has said "Tens of Thousands."
I don't "want" it to be less than a million.. I want to be told the truth. If you're trying to tell me that there were 15 times more people there than there were, I'm going to write you off as someone who's full of crap.

Glen Beck has not be proven wrong yet...if not for him Van Jones one of Obamas advisers, the self proclaimed communist radical that believes white people are putting toxins in black neighborhoods would not have been made to resign....if not for Glen calling out Acorn they would still be spending millions of our tax dollars on seedy projects. Quite honestly, I'm angry because I have to deal with people who label me "liberal democrat" because I don't prance through the streets holding signs with pictures of Obama with a Hitler mustache. I'm angry because I have to hear people tell me that "Obama is a communist and a socialist and a fascist" and then I have to choose to either shake my head at their utter stupidity or take the time to explain that those things are polar opposites of each other and it's impossible. It's like telling me I'm short and tall. Having to argue with people who don't even know what the words they're using mean is tiresome.
I'm angry because I have to deal with people who blatantly CHOOSE to believe and spread - not opinions - but lies... like.. say... "Death Panels" or "Pull the plug on Gramma" or "People over 40 won't get care for chronic conditions" or "in Canada you can't get a hip replacement at 55." These aren't "opinions," they're just lies... Fabricaions. But you TELL them that they're lies and what do they do? They yell "LIBERAL DEMOCRAT!!!" and "YOU LIE" at you.
I'm angry because suddenly conservatives are all up in arms about "Czars." Because Glenn Beck told them to get upset about them... They don't care that Ronald Regan coined the term "Czar" and appointed the first one, they don't care that George W Bush had 47 Czars... no, they just care about how the word "Czar" is taken from a Russian King and how that makes us Communists.. even though it was the communists that got rid of the Russian Czars... no... they just need to carry on and yell and scream and argue and disrupt town hall meetings.
I'm angry because although the vast Majority of Americans support health care reform, you choose to cross-examine me because it doesn't gel with what Fox "News" tells you.
So you'll forgive me if I'm just sick and fucking tired of dealing with people who call me a "liberal democrat" without knowing the first thing about my politics but knowing that I'm actually going to read and research and find my own opinions and not have them spoon-fed to me by Fox "News."
Of course we can. But we're tired of doing it. It's like that Barney Frank and the dining room table. This past week Glenn Beck claimed that there was "some university but I can't remember the name" that estimated that there were over 1,000,000 people at the Million Moron March. But there wasn't. He made it up. It was just a lie and he can't back it up because he pulled that number out of his ass. However... when presented with this, Glenn Beck fans immediately haul out fake pictures and video, they yell "LIBERAL DEMOCRAT!!!" or "NAZI!!" or "FASCIST!!" or "SOCIALIST" and it descends from there. I'm not interested in debating you because you're not interested in debating.
And you know this how? I've seen that "God Damn America" clip over and over again but I haven't heard anything else that would suggest that Reverend Wright hated white people.. and if you listen to the full "God Damn America" clip (which is long.. it's about 30 minutes long), you'll realize that it's not what you think... it's a very positive speech... taking a single sound byte and repeating it doesn't mean anything.
You know what I'm tired of? Hearing Conservatives bleat on and on about how EVERYONE IN THE WHITE HOUSE LIES!! Because you know what? You didn't care for the last 8 years... why should I give a rat's ass about your "opinions" now?

And for the record, I don't know if you were talking directly to me but i never called somebody a socialists or a facists. And on the czar issue...nobody talked about until recently(as far as I know) so i didn't even know about it.And I don't believe everything foxnews tells me, as a matter of fact I don't even watch foxnews except for Beck.And on the health care reform...I have no idea how many people are in favor of it. Somebody earlier said 70% and I was interestd on where they got that and I haven't heard yet. Again i'm sorry i called you a liberal or a democrat. The thing I refuse to believe is that there are that many of these fringe element types as they claim there are. Just like there aren't as many radical leftist (Anarchists) that can do anything constructive (which in anarchist speak means, destruction). I believe most American are reasonable folks that are able to conduct themselves in a civil manner... and understand that just because someone can shout down an opposing view, does not mean they are correct.
All these unsubstantiated claims... Death Panels... Government Take-overs... Obama's personal Army that is as well equipped as the military... Socialism (a.k.a. Apology accepted. to be honest, I did vote for Obama and I'm glad I did. I'll do it again. I think he's a great president and I'm proud I supported him. But I'm generally pretty down-the-middle politically. Although lately I've been pretty much only on the democratic party's side... I'm not really interested in any of the angry mob tactics I'm seeing at the Tea Party rallies.
Well see, and there's the whole problem. There IS no "czar issue." A Czar in the American Political sense is just an advisor to the president with no powers but someone who does have a specific understanding of a specific issue. Sort of like a consultant... Why Glenn Beck is suddenly trying to create an issue where there never was one before is a question to ponder (nobody on either side ever really cared about the 47 that George W Bush had).
You might want to reconsider that. I mean, I did watch what he was saying a few times but in the end, he's nuts. He doesn't understand he words he's using and he's coming across like that drunk at a bar who thinks he knows it all but doesn't even understand the basics. OK, what does the "University of Indiana" know about it and can you provide a link? See, I'm having trouble buying this new source because last week, organizers were claiming that ABC reported 1,000,000 people until ABC made a press release saying they said no such thing.. then the organizers claimed that it was the "Park Police" who had released an "Official Crowd number" of 1.8 million.. except Park Police haven't released official counts since the Million Man March in the early 90s. Now Glenn Beck is saying that the University of Indiana (which doesn't do official crowd estimates) is "saying" 1.5 million.. When every reputable source has said "Tens of Thousands."
I don't "want" it to be less than a million.. I want to be told the truth. If you're trying to tell me that there were 15 times more people there than there were, I'm going to write you off as someone who's full of crap.

The website Huffington Post has revealed a producer for Fox News helped rally the crowd during last weekend’s anti-Obama protest in Washington. Video from the rally shows Fox News producer Heidi Noonan raising her arms to urge protesters to cheer louder. Fox News acknowledged Noonan had made a mistake and said she was disciplined. The protest had been heavily promoted by Fox News, especially by anchor Glenn Beck
