Stand up with Town Hall screaming, 'Death Panel' believing people sent by Rush Limbaugh to FOX Sponsored protests? You can go because this is America... but, I'm gonna pass.
    ...
And how about you SIT DOWN and write to your Senators and Congresional Representative and tell them to get to fucking work and negotiate in the things YOU want to see in Health Care reform?

Here's some more 'Leftist' stuff that won't make any sense to you...
I wonder... how many people are complaining about Heatlh Care reform... already have Health Care?
And where do they get their Health Care from?
An Employer? What happens if you get laid off?
A parent's Employer? What happens when you turn 18?
Did they buy a policy? What did that cost and does it increase over the years?
    And...
Why is it that people are against 'entitlement' programs... yet, graciously accept Medicare/Medicaid for themselves or an elderly parent? Isn't Medicare a Socialist Entitlement Program?
And the people who complain about the poor people... you know, lazy and don't want to get a job and just want a free government handout. Then, they tell me about how charitable they are towards the needy and less fortunate... aren't they the same poor, lazy people who are looking for a free handout? Why are they giving them money... and oppose to their tax dollars going to the poor? How does THAT work?

Personally... I like the part where they compare the 'Silent Majority' of the 70s to today's events. The silent majority were the people who were against the war in Viet Nam, but did not approve of the demonstration turned riots of the college (draft aged) kids at the Universities. They didn't want to be assosciated with these long haired hippies.
And somehow, FOX News is hoping that this is the case here. People see this disgusting behaviour of shouting down women in wheel chairs trying to testify about their current health condition or crying about indoctrination speeches to their kids or believing that there will be 'Death Panels' to kill old people... yet, support their message... cause the failure of Health Care reform based on political partisanship.
I just don't see the correlation.

I wish we could all agree on one thing, and that's to be angry enough to want to change things. I wish the "right" would join in on the anger at the anti-war protests, I wish the "left" would come out to the tea parties-- I would love it if everyone could put their partisanship aside and LOUDLY demand more of our elected officials. At this point, I don't think our letters are being read, or our phone calls are being answered-- so, what is next? Getting louder, and more in their faces. Can everyone be loud and eloquent at the same time? Probably not, but everyone should at least TRY. If anyone has a problem with screaming a little to make a political statement, they may want to stop listening to rock music all together.

I completely agree. No one really truly cares if you're part of the silent majority. Silence is the enemy, and revolution will only come to those who demand it. The gov't should be afraid of us, not the other way around, so we need to stand up and demand what we want from the gov't. Otherwise, it simply won't com.

No. However, I'm willing to pay more taxes, knowing my neighbour next door won't go bankrupt if he gets sick. The fact that the United States doesn't is astonishing to me, absolutley astonishing. Do you guys not care? I saw a guy on CNN talking about how he wants a Hummer but can't have one because of money.. Do Americans really think health care is like this? Really?

from that i gather you'd be on the public option if it was in the bill.
reps say everybody would do as you would and that's what they don't like.
even thou insurance companies would be around in the bill, most people like you did would choose public option. Then it would be a government controled thing, because the majority would probably choose public option/government healthcare. And like soul singing I don’t see why we can’t try it like that for a while. But reps aren't for govenment controled anything.

    ...
First off... WHERE do I say "Republicans don't want Health Care Reform"? I'll tell you where... NOWHERE.
If the House Republicans don't want the Public Option... then, they need to get off their asses and debate the issue in session and come up with an alternative plan to cover the Americans without any Health Care Coverage.
And the rest of your rant is incoherent gibberish... which I cannot respond to because it makes no fucking sense. I do not respond to verbal static, clicks and buzzes.
And YES... I want a Public Option to cover those of MY FELLOW AMERICANS who are not covered. Run it like the Post Office... sure, why not? I do not see the Post Office putting UPS and FedEX out of business, do you? They all do the same thing, deliver postal packages, right? Why isn't UPS out of business because of the Public Option of the U.S. Postal Service?
I don't expect top notch health care in the public option... just basic Health Care, so poor single parent mothers can get medicine for themselves and their kids. If that makes me a 'freakin Democrat' by your standards, fine... but, what is that saying about you?
And what part of the word 'OPTION', don't you understand???

    My sentiments exactly.

The Health system in the States is nothing to be proud of. Government run health care is not without some problems either, but I've worked in a country that has universal health care and im working in a country that doesn't. So i have experienced both.

The one thing i will say about the Country that did have it....people that require urgent life saving non elective surgery are treated as a priority. The same thing does not happen here.

And thats a fact. What good is you having the best doctors in the world, when the people that need them the most can't get treatment?

I don’t see why this has become a Rep vs. Dem thing.
    It’s people’s life’s we are talking about.

It’s not about bringing down the first black president, it’s not about keeping the rich rich.

It’s about taking care of your community.
I’m sick of this ‘me, me, me!’ society.

Or how can you be a good doctor knowing you had to make decisions based on how much money you want to rake in at the end of the day? Why would you trust somebody with your wellbeing that was motivated by money?

Thanks for the info. I admit, I haven't really read enough about Obama's bill, just haven't done it. I can see why Libertarian leaning folks wouldn't be happy with a public option, but who exactly praises these slimeball insurance companies? I mean, what is better/worse? Insurance companies or the gov't running our healthcare? No American truly knows the answer to that question. Since we've never had the option of universal healthcare, I find it ironic that so many people are against something they've never experienced before. Basically, it's just fearing the idea of change. Yet we voted Obama in to create change.

The government I see is stepping in because for decades healthcare has tried to be fixed and nothing’s come of it. so if congress has argued for decades about it, what’s the chance of them cutting the shit and coming together to fix it now? Chances are low.

They can’t. they have tried and failed. Why give them more time?
