  • Dallas wasn't ready to play today. That sucks.

I'll be pulling for Favre to win the SB so he can finally retire.

Blueprint for beating Dallas this year. Let them run and throw short passes (no long ones) then fuck up at the 20-30 yard line, attempt a long field goal, miss, and enjoy the good field position. Then throw miracle passes to your best WR, repeat. Look at every one of our fucking losses this year. NYG, Den, GB, NYG, SD, Min they all did the same damn thing. Here's hoping we're done with Witten, and bring in Brandon Marshall. The D is solid, we just need one more playmaker on the outside on offense.
  • i wouldnt be suprised if Phillips loses his job over this. and Romo is just not gonna cut it.

since when is scoring a touchdown a pussy thing to do? If Dallas didn't want to get blown out, they shoulda showed up for the game. They SUCKED. They deserved to get 70 points scored on them. Suck it, Jerry Jones.

what did Romo do wrong? He got hit like every single time he passed the ball. Not his fault. What QB would have done better today?

Done with Witten, yeah right, fuck he's the best TE in the league, maybe get rid of Williams.

Witten is not the best TE in the league. Check how many offsides penalties he's taken this year, and he was the key to our first two losses under Romo and Phillips (stopped at the 2 instead of the 1 against Seattle and doesn't get out of bounds against the giants costing us our last Time out). Bennett blocks and catches I'd be happy with him and the new dude. Most fans and owners love their white guys though...so I doubt Romo's BFF will be gone.

Hey, let's get a Delorean, put in a Flux Capacitor, and go back in time and put Johnny U, Jerry Rice, and Barry Sanders on the team too. That makes more sense than this statement here.....Ahhhhh, to the Dallas Cowboys and their nationwide fans - leading the way in fraudulency since 1971!

that's true to the extent that bennett was oft-injured, but we had to take him off the field quite a lot b/c of his blocking inability. he can catch passes with the best of him, but that doesn't make him a great TE. I'm not saying he's terrible, but his mistakes often get overlooked because he catches the ball a lot.

why are you calling me a fraud? What makes wanting Brandon Marshall fraudulent? Isn't hoping you get better part of being a fan? Besides, look back on this thread at which cowboy fan was most critical of the team this year. i'm pretty sure it's not even close amongst the group of us that root for the team. I gave up on this particular team when we "beat" Washington 7-6, but I admit that they have improved quite a bit.

I didn't say he was terrible...I said that his mistakes get overlooked because he catches the ball a lot. You can call me a lot of things, but I'm not bandwagon. If you need me to send you my Tony Dorsett jersey, and my White and White (Danny and Randy) poster then fine. I root for this team as hard as anyone else, I just don't love witten like most Cowboys fans do. He screwed up in both of our playoff losses in 07 an 08 and everyone wants to blame romo, parcells, and phillips. The racial comment is true fans and owners love a seemingly hard working white player unconditionally (for Dallas see: Bill Bates, "Moose" Johnston, and Jason Witten), but its not just in Dallas (see New England: Wes Welker, Baltimore: Todd Heap, and so on).

Also whats race got to do with anything here? Bottom line Witten catches damn near anything thrown to him, always seems to get open, is an above average blocker, now does he make mistakes, of course, he is human :? :? :? .this team has holes, all teams has holes, they have a whole lot less than they did a year ago. I would like to see them shore up the other wr position, but not with Marshall, lets draft one.

You are un fuckin believable, all those player you mentioned deserved to be on the field. Fans and owners love hard working black players as well, Miles Austin-undrafted, Barber-3rd round, Choice-5th round, Ratliff-7th round. Race has nothing to do with whether Witten his the starting TE.

Because TO destroys locker rooms, ask San Francisco, Philadelphia and the current Cowboy players and this team was a mess at the end of last year because of TO's me first f the team attitude. It took this team 2/3 of the year to play like a team consistently. I can't compare his numbers to Witten's, Witten his a TE and TO is receiver and of course TO will have better numbers, of course TO has better numbers than Irvin, who would you want, I know who I want, the playmaker.

The point is that yes they deserve to be on the field, but there are no "Mooooooose" or "Heeeeeeap" chants for Miles Austin. In fact what black player in the NFL has a chant like that when he gets the ball? Why is this? It's b/c many fans still adhere to the idea that skin color has an effect on an individuals athletic ability when all research states that idea is untrue. So people chant for those players b/c they think they have to work harder than the "naturally" athletic black athlete. Witten is a fine athlete, I just don't think he's as good as Cowboys fans think he is, and I'd rather have Marshall, Austin, Crayton, Bennett, and Phillips (I think that's the 3rd TE). I don't think that's ridiculous or unbelieveable.
