It was nice to finally meet u laura and yes nose bleeds were 10 club seats. I could have got better on ticketbastard or from craigslist. dont wanna bitch awesome show but what the fuck is a fan club tix for if we rule the nose bleeds. anyways great show as always just not sure how the fan club ended up in the worst seats of the whole house.0

Great show. Long road was all I really needed, but Needle and the Damage done was special leading into Rats.
My seats sucked, too. I am 196912 and I was in section 319. Yay, glad I joined the club. Meanwhile, I can buy 115 or 231 on Ticketmaster right now for tomorrow night.0 -
Solid set, nothing really stood out to tell u the truth...possibly the real me. Not a fan of the backspacer songs but got some kicked ass. I think there was a ticket issue tonight. Lots of ten clubbers in the 300s. I went with a 169000'r and was sitting with mid 200s
had a good time tho and hope tomorrow has some special things in store!

fantastic show. the crowd was good, my seats were a little farther than normal but nothing crazy. people in the 300s must just be high numbers.
so happy to finally hear smile after so many shows!"If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0 -
i was in section 202..wasnt too bad. it was in the club section, i was hoping to be in the section directly to the side of the floor. but i am by no means complaining, was a great show.
show had a lot of energy, i was hoping for long road or release, and i got long road! awesome! Then straight energy for a good bit. LOVED gods dice. Man, that song is sweet. Was very surprised to see them play it, actually. I thought the Fixer, Got some, and Supersonic were all very good. I was actually a little surprised at how good Supersonic was after seeing the vid on youtube, so i think everyone else has something to look forward to. Ed played Supersonic due to a request from the crowd, so I am not sure what he crossed out - if he did? Maybe we can get a view of the setlist from somebody. I would say that Rats, Gods Dice, and IN HIDING were highlights for me. In hiding was an AWESOME surprise. I mean, that song is great. I was really thinking 3rd encore for sure after RVM, and was hoping for baba in RITFW or YL. Can't get everything you want though! overall, really great show. This was my 2nd show ever and my first was Columbia last year - which i thought was a fantastic setlist. This one is right up there as well.
In my opinion, Ed sounded awesome tonight. I mean really great. He really did well on God's Dice, where he usually misses the "Designaaaaate" part after the HA HA!! I just loved every second of it. This band is awesome, and I will carry a happy hangover for months now. Just so amazing...i will probably think of some more little details and post later. Thanks for reading and enjoy it tomorrow guys!!0 -
I think a lot of us are forgetting that this was at the time the tickets were sold, it was the only North American show for the year. Lots and lots and lots and lots of 10c members bought tickets for this show. For good seats, you needed a very low number.0
-
bought two tickets section 114, 3:05pm on Ticketmaster, then bought two in 114 for Monday night released at about 4:15pm. so thrilled i didn't order through 10c with my 400xxx number. day of show usually pays off but man it can give you a heart attack!0

something is wrong I guess, I have a bit higher of a number, and I was in the 100's 2nd section from the stage."If I should ever die, God forbid, let this be my epitaph: The only proof he needed for the existence of God was music." KV Jr.0 -
I joined in January and I was section 311.....Everybody around me was 10c.
I was pretty sure I would be on the 100 level, maybe 200s.... I know there were alot, but were there THAT many 10c members? I'm no way complaining... If the number of 10clubbers is consistent with the craposity of my ticket0 -
In 2006 I was in the 35-40th row on the floor. I wish I could trade in my 319 nosebleeds for section 115 which is still on sale.0

band: emotional, but sloppy show by Ed. he really bounced from deeply emotional to energetic from song to song. screwed up a bunch of lyrics, but that's kind of expected considering how much variety these setlists have and how little they have been touring since 2006. I was expecting a very somber show for a reason which I wont discuss. Long Road, Come Back and Man of the Hour, you could see they were difficult.
10C seats: everyone was further back than they usually are, which is not surprising since this was the only US show for a long time, it was a Sunday, and there were a lot of family & friends there probably. a friend with a 90K number was about 14th row. the people who posted that they got seats behind the stage were FOS. there were no seats behind the stage. we were 20th row with 128xxx, and I think the cutoff was right about there. numbers after that started at the wing sections. the cool part was that I think the floor was elevated a bit, because I could see the tops of the heads of people in the first 10 rows.
overall, great show! the setlist really did it for me. how these guys do it 4 or 5 days a week is beyond me, especially Ed. nice to see Santos as well. I think he'll have a much better Monday.
see you all tomorrow.Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)

nice show
nice find on the Richter Story, that makes much more sense than the Hockey Goalie I thought it was.
there were shit loads of out of towners at this show, they may have run out of floor ten club seats and had to go upper level to accommodate them. I am normally 4-6th row in Chicago and was 11 tonight (not complaining just saying there were lots of people here tonight). I think a lot of mid-westerners were there from MI, IN, OH, IA, WI as well. I met several people from New York tonight.
As for the show, band was in gerat form tonight save some lyric flubs and a few moments of feedback. Ed sounded great, and the solos Mike was ripping off were great. Jeff was playing his ass off tonight. Some nice surprises in the set, Long Road was great to hear as Release is the usual Chitown 1 openener. Ed'd botox reference to MJ was funny.
Only celebrity I saw was Matt Pinfield, the old Mtv VJ from Headbangers ball
Mike enjoyed watching bad religion from the side of the stage for most of their set.
Biggest error of the night was BR and PJ saying it had been 13 years since they last player here together, last time I checked 7-11-95 was 14 years, but hey they have played so many shows since then I can understand getting mixed up.
Supersonic was pretty wicked, and fixer was wayyy better live.
overall a nice performance PJ has come to make us expect over the years0 -
ScottBravesFan wrote:ofthegirl99 wrote:Just got home. Combined with my 10Club seats being top row nose bleeds, my back was actually against the wall and the fact that PJ's catalogue is HUGE and these were the songs played I was actually disappointed. I was expecting more for Chicago.
Oh well.
You had ten club seats and they were nose bleed? Even if you have only been in the club since 2007 you should have still been on the floor. I think you did something wrong.
You think joining in 2007 will get you on the floor in Chicago??? You are nuts.
My number is 177xxx, I been in since 98 and I was in 122 row 13 on the side. GREAT seats and not on the floor.
Do you realize how many 10c people came in from out of town for tonight? A TON.0 -
Yeah my seats were pretty far back in section 305...
...but the show was absoutly amazing!
Am I the only one who got tears in my eyes when Long Road opened?"Mona Lisa must have had the highway blues you can tell by the way she smiles."0 -
I was in section 301 with my 10c tickets. I was a little surprised when I picked them up, but I didn't mind actually. I'm super pregnant (due in 4 weeks) and being up high where when I had to sit to prevent from dying, I could still see. Nice to be able to do that in my situation, but the people around us spent the whole time bitching about the seats. Can't win the lotto every time people...
I liked the set. It was smooth and seemed to flow well in my mind. I thought Eddie sounded really good. Wish I could go tomorrow, but the show tonight nearly did me in. Enjoy it for those who go!0 -
81 Needing a ride to Forest Hills and a ounce of weed. Please inquire within. Thanks. Or not. Posts: 58,276Got some if you need it.
I did that song. Fixer was cool. Supersonic suprised me. Hopefully they will play it again tommorrow.
The bottle passsing was pretty cool.
Saw lots of EV solo shirts. I didn't see anybody with my shirt. 2000 Binaural shirt.
Tommorrow should be even better as i move down from 302 row 4 to 122 row 19. both non 10c tickets
Bad Religion was pretty cool. I really dug the earth song.
I like the new stickman shirt with Chicago 2009 on the back. Very simple. I like it. Thought about getting a backspacer shirt tho.
Beer sales stopped way to early.
That pretty much sums up the night. A good time was had by all, except the complainers.
See you fuckers tommorrow at the preparty. :81 is now off the air0 -
262xxx and I got 102 row 1 and I couldn't be happier. Perfect view of the stage an no one in front of me. My son could see everything.DAL-7/5/98,10/17/00,6/9/03,11/15/13

First off, there were a TON OF 10CLUB FANS!!
I am 15X,XXX and I had 100 level seating, while my sister was 2XX,XXX and she had 300 level.
Everyone around both of us were from out of town. Minnesota, Indy, and just all over. Thats why everyone was pushed back, this was the midwest's only show. But, it did suck to see people in front of my sister with ticketmaster print out tickets that werent 10club. We all know that the 10club tries their hardest, so lets not try to blame them.
But, the show was awesome, it really looked like the band enjoyed to be out of tour. Lots of energy, looked like the 90s again. Lots of kids and babies on the sidestage, band getting older, wives and kids backstage. Ed even gave his kid a kiss during the evenflow solo. Very cool to see the band mature.
RATS WAS AWESOME!!!! Also, I dont think ive ever seen PJ with the entire crowd into all of the songs. Must be the high 10club crowd. Love Reign O'er Me was very good, they must of practiced it a lot, its sounded great.
The Fixer and Got Some were also very good, Supersonic was new and sounded good too. But, Fixer and Got Some ROCKED!! It was weird to not have a tour fully promoting the new album though. I wish this was after the release.
Good show, I rate it a A- the minus is because it is before the album release and too many 10clubers pushing everyone back to the 300 level.Chicago '98, Noblesville '00, East Troy '00, Chicago '00, Champaign '03, Chicago '03, Chicago1 '06, Chicago2 '06, Milwaukee '06, Chicago1 '09, and Chicago2 '090
