What a great time last night. Section 121, 4 rows up. Best seats I've ever had. Being only 5'5, it was the first time I actually was able to see the entire show. I'd take seats there on the side than on the floor any time. Heard a bunch of songs I hadn't heard live before including Rats so I was happy. Hopefully we get another great show tonight!

I've been to pretty much every PJ show in Chicago since Chicago 2000, and this one definitely had the most energy, both from the crowd and band. It was fantastic.
After hearing all the 10c ticket horror stories, I'm starting to feel almost relieved that I missed the presale and had to buy from TM. I ended up in section 114, next to a very nice 10c couple from DC (if you're reading this, hope I didn't distract you with all my dancing and head-bopping; I was just excited). It was cool to see the parade of family and friends all in grey PJ shirts heading up to their seats from underneath the stage, too.
The setlist was solid. I've never seen Long Road as an opener. God's Dice, Dissident, SAD, In Hiding, Spin The Black Circle!!! Rats!!! Smile!!! Forget it, the whole setlist was great. I don't care that Ed messes up lyrics, I think it's cute. We all know them anyway, so we can help him out. ;)
Other highlights: Ed in shorts   , Jeff taking the mic, Stone and Jeff switching guitars, Mike jumping and rolling all over the place and ending YL with Star Spangled Banner, all the band members looked happy, excited and full of energy, despite the underlying sadness with the loss of Jeff's friend. I can't wait for tonight! I don't care where 10c puts me, my cousin and I are going to rock out like there's no tomorrow!

Toronto was a great show on Friday, but since it was my only show this tour I wish we would've had Chicago's setlist. Just glad they are the best live band in the world and never disappoint. Never.
Hope the gems in Chicago made up for seating locations I've been reading about. They always seem to do something special in Chicago, although I think the string of dates at the Spectrum will probably be this tour's peak.

Was up in the front row of section 305. GREAT SHOW!!! I felt the energy the minute I walked in the building. Heard some new songs I've never heard...and Come Back brought my girlfriend and I to tears after I told her my association of the song with my sister...

Best show I've seen yet...can't wait for SLC next month!

The Needle and the Damage Done - would have loved to hear that one...

That was the shit! Totally unexpected. The Who covers were phenomenal as well.

Great show. Long road was all I really needed, but Needle and the Damage done was special leading into Rats.

My seats sucked, too. I am 196912 and I was in section 319. Yay, glad I joined the club. Meanwhile, I can buy 115 or 231 on Ticketmaster right now for tomorrow night.

The same money once you add in the fees for the fan club membership, which are equivalent to TM fees.

AMAZING show and great weekend! Setlist was awesome and the band had so much energy. I was wondering if Jeff's friend had passed away after they went into Come Back. Thanks to the people with the links on that. :(

    My highlights:
    - The setlist in general... God's Dice, Insignificance, Rats, STBC, In Hiding, Smile, the Who covers.. *sigh*
    - As always, the new songs came to life for me when I heard them live. The best thing about PJ is that their songs sound so much better live...that's a rare talent!
    - Needle and the Damage Done...nice. Though I thought he was going to go into a Jackson 5 song with the setup. :D
    - Ed in full-on dancing mode....especially loved his little Michael Jordan pose before Given to Fly!
    - Meeting so many great new people from the board!! Thanks, all, for a great time! :)

Another way to tell the UC was full of out of towners:

HALF THE PEOPLE BOOED WHEN ED MENTIONING THE BULLS 6 CHAMPIONSHIP BANNERS!!

Usually that gets a roar from bands at the UC.

BTW - did anyone see the guy with the lit-up stickman shirt on the floor? It was outstanding!

Saw that guy. Pretty excellent! I didn't get any shot's of him, but I got a few others...

Loved the show, was a bit disappointed with all the ten clubbers with 300 level seats. But then heard a good point, must be a shit load of tenclubbers and that means a great crowd with great energy. WAs absolutely right. The energy was great. the band definitely is getting better every time i see them. took my bro, we drove 16 hours total today for the show and couldnt have been happier. Was disappointed with the seat situation initially, but the band definitely reminded me why I love just being in the building. They absolutely put their all into the show tonight. Have fun tonight everyone who is going, your face will definitely be rocked.

I thought the show was pretty solid. Some stands for me would be Got Some, Rats, Needle and the Damage Done, Insignificance, STBC, and Supersonic.

My seats were pretty much what I expected... Section 122 row 14. My 10C number is 178xxx.

    Looking forward to tonight.

Show started w/ Eddie saying something along the lines of "We got a lot of emotion to get through tonight".

With the opener of "Long Road" and "Man of the Hour" and Jeff's speech about a friend who has seen them for 20 years straight but couldn't see them tonight, and having us sing "Happy Bday" I wonder if there was a death of a friend.
    I wondered the same thing.

Great show. Finally Some Screens!! Really made the show much better. got to see a whole lot of things we would have missed. Like Mike slapping hands with the front row WHILE playing his alive Solo. Mike throwing himself on the ground during his other solo of Spin the Black Circle i think. Also Jeffs crazy Bass Hands on the Real Me. I know some people dont like the screens but i think that they were a plus last night. Loved that they were in Black and White so they did not draw your eyes to them all night.

We Scored the Setlist during the show from a lady that works there, she was very nice and told us she would get us the list right before they go on. We were hopping she would grab us and take us to the front row...No dice. anyhoo it was awesome for my wife to beable to see the songs before they were played. they did not play Sonic Reducer or Evolution. They had sonic reducer right after Supersonic which would have been an awsome back to back.

we were in 102 row three and my number is 266xxx. not the best but the screens really helped. Hoping for the Alpine Valley thing to Happen. I know they have been trying to get there since 03. that is one of my favorite places.

Great 25th show Never going back to Chicago. (For the 3rd time)

I have to admit, maybe my expectations were too high, but I walked away with a feeling that I had seen this show before. It just didn't move me the way previous shows had.

I went into more detail in my review posted above. It was a very good show, just not at the level I was hoping for.

I was seated to the left of the stage, good view. I did not expect to be on the floor, so I was not surprised. I heard from multiple people in the 10 club that ended up in the top section 300 level. I don't know how this could happen. I thought that being in the club got you decent seats. I know not to expect anything in the first few rows, but 300 level doesn't seem fair. Glad my seat was good, and the show was excellent. Great setlist.

You sir are the first person I've talked to or red from about last night to say this. Thought it was up there with Wembley 07 and Grand Rapids 06 for top shows I've seen in the 21st century.

I'll answer your blog review with mine ;-P

The show was great but my tickets sucked as well. 304 row 1. There were a lot of pissed off people in that place who had bad tickets as well! My friends all had better tickets from ticketmaster! They need to limit the number of 10C tickets in the presale. I would have bought better one if I had known where I was sitting. Not Happy!
