i'm going with some friends.. my friend amy has my other 10c ticket and one of the lovely posters here has offered us his 2nd 10c ticket for my friend shirls... which leaves hadyn by himself like noddy no mates in the seated area. i'm gonna drive up from wellington on the thursday.. dunno if anyone is coming with me in the car yet (shirls is flying the heathen), but i'm okay with driving (sniff) by myself (sniffle)

never done the welli to aucks drive alone before, but i've done the drive itself a fair ferw times. might be quite liberating, albeit lonesome. someone from work told me i should convoy with them. hee.

haven't decided where i'm staying yet.. i kinda wanna stay somewhere nice for a change, since it's a special occasion. have all you freaks and weirdos decided where you'll be staying?

the drive alone can't be as bad as the last time i drove back home from auckland - on the way home from cat power (SWOON) my fucking car lost 5th gear. not fun. but i have a new gearbox now so that won't happen again.

i'm really looking forward to being around REAL LIVE PROPER PEARL JAM FANS in the fixer!! last time i saw them play i was with my high school friends - one of whom was more interested in pashing this total twat face stranger. who the fuck turns away from the band to pash an ugly munter??

it takes about 9 hours to get to auckland...but it's a wicked drive. especially in the middle of the island, when you go through the desert road, past the mountains (MT DOOM!) and then in a blink of an eye you're driving past a waterfall. it's trippy.

i'm going to get there as early as it takes... well, certainly early enough to take advantage of the 10c early entry thingee.

he has a few houses... but there is a big massive crazy mansion place in the wairarapa (apparently) which is on the opposite side of the bottom of the north island to wellington... about 1.5 hours away. and he is also supposed to have a house in wellington on the southern coast. he apparently bought the houses around this house and built up a big bugger off wall.

never seen the man myself, which is really weird... usually, regardless of how famous you are, you're bound to be spotted in wellington. at one point i was seeing bret or jemaine on an almost weekly basis near my office. saw adrian brody wandering aimlessly around the shops... saw elijah wood in a record store. heh. saw liam finn in a record store once and flipped out and geekishly asked if i could take his photo. he was only a child then..
