So how would I get the 2 years from 94-95 added onto my present account? do they still even have those membership records...I used a different address back then and I didnt give them an email. All they have to link to my present account is my name. It seems like a huge hassle. 10club has a policy that you agree to when you sign up, dont come on here bitching for change when it doesnt work in your favor.

You mean like the email I got about 30 days ago, alerting me that my membership was due? That kind of reminder?

I was actually in the Mookie Blaylock fan club. Hell, I was in the Mother Love Bone fan club. In fact, I founded it. I don't have any proof. You'll just have to take my word for it.

Now where are my front row seats?

You should probably heed your own advice here and let it go, then.

just starting a debate man, like i said before, it's not the end of the world, but shouldn't every business and organization strive to serve its clients as well as possible? now, we may vary on what that entails - but it's not debateable that 10c should serve us to the best of their ability.

i realized this happened months ago, and i'm over it - i can't wait for this weekend and i'll be happy even if i'm sitting in the rafters. but i think this was a valid point (and the fact that several posters agreed does validate it to a degree).

I guess I always renew before they send me the email. Anyway this is an endless debate.
Now go renew your license!:lol:

hahah the number of people calling 10club to dispute their "service time" would be crazy.

you seem to be more upset about me posting this than I am about the issue about which i posted.

honestly, go back and read my first post - i realize it's on me, and i'm not suggesting that 10c should change just to suit my situation. i fucked up, and now i'll pay for it in the form of shittier seats. i'm okay with that.

You let your membership expire for over a year and you want your seniority back?

I think that pretty much says you haven't been an active part of what the band is up to for over a year, and that to me indicates you've lost interest, therefore, you lose seniority.

you would be 100% wrong. i am a married guy with 2 kids and a demanding job. and a few interests outside of pearl jam. the ONLY band i bother to keep tabs on is PJ in terms of traveling to shows, buying merchandise, etc.. I don't want "my seniority back", i just want what i paid for and accumulated.

First - Let me just start by saying that I TRULY empathize with your situation. You're obviously a fan and it stinks losing all of your seniority....

However; I get TIRED of people in all facets of life using the excuse "I don't have time." Its a cop out. You are telling me that you couldn't find 30 SECONDS to log on and check or renew for 15 months?????? PLEASE

    BS

We're all busy. You can find 30 seconds. You just didn't. Accept responsibility.

You said "i'm open to hearing valid objections" so I was objecting....and it was pretty obvious you were suggesting 10 club change the policy.

I don't understand the point of view of the original poster! Is it really so hard to remember to renew the membership?? Is this really such a problem to think of it? I don't agree that this system is unfair! This system is the same for all the TC-members and 99,9 % have no problem to renew the membership in time! So, its your own fault, no reason to be angry about TC and the rules...

  • I forgot...didn't get a friendly reminder in the mail...to renew my driver's license in 2007, so when I went through a roadblock last october, handed the officer (who I knew) my license and was shocked to learn that it had expired 11 months before I really couldn't bitch or complain at all when he gave me a ticket. It sucked big time, but that's just the way it goes.....I forgot and I paid the price...i think it was $125 actually
All I have to do is revel in the everyday....then do it again tomorrow

They say every sin is deadly but I believe they may be wrong...I'm guilty of all seven and I don't feel too bad at all

The 10C would have to be constantly reassigning membership numbers if this happened.

That's a lot of hassle to undertake for the few that don't follow the system. I mean, if you have a hard time keeping track of your own membership to let it lapse for 1 year...imagine trying to keep track of all the them in the 10C and what order they should be in. Crazy.

you think somebody is sitting in a back room with a ledger book and a calendar keeping track of this stuff? it wouldn't be hard at all. I'm not an IT person, and i could design an efficient database to do this without much hassle at all.

there is life beyond your membership number.

Then you should be able to design a database or some type of alarm which would alert you that your 10C membership is about to expire....

    no response huh???

Actually they are very much the same in this case because I "forgot" just as you did and I suffered the repercussions as have you. My $125 fine equals your drop in seniority as far as I am concerned...shit happens.
But I never suggested that it was someone else's responsibility to make sure I knew I had to renew my license

i've already replied to all the people ahead of you who said i should be more organized, etc. in keeping track of dates. my response (and initial post) are in agreement.

Well then your only gripe is with yourself for not keeping track of your membership... not the 10C and its policies. Title should be renamed "One more bitch about myself"

yeah, but nobody would get as worked up about that title as you have about this one.

and i have a gripe about both my fuck up AND the 10c's policy. it's a small gripe, but a gripe nonetheless.

you were inactive for 1 year?? Thats a long time. I know my status with 10c membership and this year I have moved countries, married and pretty much started my whole life again. Thats no reason you just weren't into the band as much as you would have liked this year.
