The problem when you play U of M this year will be which U of M shows up. The A team offense or the B team offense (which is what we seen against, Indiana and Michigan State).
Yes I'm a U of M fan..... But I do like to watch the Big 10.
A or B offense doesn't really matter. The question is will Ohio State win or give the game away with a butt load of unforced error's.
Anyone see that Pryor's high school coach has come out criticizing Tressel for not using his talents well enough? Things are getting interesting in Columbus. I was gung ho on ditching Boeckman last season, but he did kind of get a raw deal, especially given how much slack they've cut TP lately. I don't see Pryor turning the corner on his passing game the way Troy Smith did...
Boeckman was one of my favorite players from the last decade. He was true Scarlett and Gray. He grew up a buckeys fan, was told by the coaching staff to go some place else. said nope. red shirted, gray shirted, then took them to the title game (which was winable, net of a few BIG mistakes). and he threw a ncie pass. TP....man, does he throw like shit.

I tend to agree some with what the guy was saying. OSU would have to come out with a completely different offensive scheme for Pryor, and it won't happen. Tressel won't bench Pryor either. I can see why the OSU fans are pushing for him to be converted to a wide out, the problem is Tressel made him the promise of being OSU's QB. And you just can't go back on a promise in the recruiting world... With another look Tressel is to good of a coach, things will change, Pryor will improve.

AL. FL. we'll find out soon enough.
to bad there isn't a playoff to determine the NC

Tressel did kind of promise to develop him as an nfl style qb, rather than run a RichRod style college offense, which would probably benefit Pryor. But it doesn't seem to be working. He's got a lot of natural athletic talent, but I don't think raw athleticism is enough to make a good qb and I'm not sure Pryor has what it takes to get there. Though I do think a big problem is coaching. Tressel just doesn't adapt well. He needs a new offensive coordinator and qb coach, somebody that can actually help transition the offense and move TP more smoothly into things than just dropping him in a Tressel offense and hoping he learns.

I agree- Pryor is a great athlete, sort of like Tebow. But that does not mean they can become an NFL style quarterback. Some guys are natural pro style QB's, like Stafford last year, and like Mallet or Clausen this year. Pryor can win in college on his ability alone, and next year he will be better, simply because of that natural ability. Sometimes, you can't just learn to be a pro-style QB. from what I have seen of Pryor, he ahs the ability to play in the NFL, but not at QB.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...

i don't agree with this. you look at 01 and 02. they ran a power offense. had the ball off alot, with a big play action pass tossed in every now and then. play top tier D and special teams.
then Troy Smith, Ginn, Holms, & Gonzo came to town and they went to more of a passing attack although they were still a run dominated offense the first couple of years with this crew. still with d and special teams.
then they all left and Beanie came in. they went back to the Power I.
Now we have Prior. It seems like they want to jump into the Troy Smith senior season play calling. The only problem is, Pryor can't throw the ball for shit.
You want a playoff in college football? With the release of the initial BCS standings, the playoffs are in full swing. It might not be in the tidy tournament format the new Playoff Action Committee wants, but let me ask you this. How often do you hear gripes about teams left out of the NCAA basketball tournament? My point is a playoff format wouldn't fix everything. The fifth-best team or ninth-best team or 17th-best team would be griping. To illuminate my point, if you used the BCS standings at the moment, Cincinnati wouldn't make a four-team playoff. LSU would be squeezed out of an 8-team field. In a never-going-to-happen-in-our lifetime 16-team bracket, Oklahoma State would be in, Houston out. Remember what happened on the field in Stillwater?
If a four-team playoff started this week, Cincinnati coach Brian Kelly would not be clapping.
How about if we celebrate what we do have, the most significant regular season in sports? And one in which if LSU wants to play for a national championship, the Tigers have that chance. If LSU can beat Alabama then take down Florida in the SEC championship game, the Tigers would be hard to squeeze out of Pasadena. LSU would even get a second shot at the Gators along the way. Just like a playoff.
I'm not really trying to convince you this is as clean as a seeded playoff would be. I'm just saying the pined-for playoff wouldn't necessarily be college football utopia. It also would reduce the impact of mammoth upsets, like Washington over USC. To me, that weekly drama playing out in unlikely places is compelling. I'm not opposed to playoffs. In fact, I'd love to see them seed 1-4 in the bowls and have the winners play. But I also put a great deal of value on the pursuit of a championship we witness every week. By the way, I wouldn't contribute to that new Playoff Action Committee's fundraising efforts. Your money would be better spent investing in the Heene family's new reality show "Little Falcon's Hot Air Balloon Hoaxes." Then again, that Playoff Action Committee likely will have the most hot air this side of Falcon's balloon. We digress.

Ah yes the old Sports Arena was a hole and a half, plus the small rink for hockey was awesome. The old days of hockey where not every rink was the same size, that was awesome.... I haven't been to the new arena yet but I will soon. We have the Walleyes oh and the Bullfrogs arena football team (unless that league folded).

brutal trip to wvu...good to get that out of the way and just play...funeral today then back home next week vs. Rutgers...should be another emotionally draining week, but hopefully followed by a victory.
the funeral ends tomorrow. will be an emotional day. rutgers is going down.
i wish they'd won today...i was really pulling for them.
it was an emotional rollercoaster. and from a football standpoint, he was one of our better defensive players, so unfortunately we will be torched in the secondary for the remainder of the season.

A man had tickets for the Ohio State - Michigan game. As he sits down, a man comes down and asks if anyone is sitting in the seat next to him."No", he says, "The seat is empty."
"This is incredible," said the man. "Who in their right mind would have a seat like this for the Ohio - Michigan game, the biggest sporting event in the world, and not use it?" He said, "Well, actually, the seat belongs to me. I was supposed to come with my wife, but she passed away. This is the first Ohio State - Michigan game we haven't been to together since we got married in 1957". "Oh ... I'm sorry to hear that.. That's terrible. But couldn't you find someone else - a friend or relative, or even a neighbor to take the seat?" The man shakes his head. "No. They're all at the funeral."
