2nd-4th round, that sucks. Why even consider the NFL. Please. The Gators do play a weak schedule and crush the teams they should. Ohio State squeaked by against Navy and lost to a non-big 10 team again. Penn State, let's see (Akron, Syracuse, Temple) Their players should be ready after those games. They have an extra three weeks to practice. The big 10 sucks..... How many bowl games did they win last year?
yes that does sucks and that is why he came back for a 5th year of college to get his degree and play football.i don't know how bowl games the big ten won last year seeing as how i'm a ND guy.
I am an Irish fan too. The halftime talk was about penaties? Second play of the 3rd quarter was a hold. Tate drops two. When does that happen? Where was our great secondary? Why throw the ball when we need only a first down? The team showed a lack of respect for Charlie. Besides the 3rd and end of the 4th, I thought CW called a good game. In the third, we needed to get the ball to Michael. He was manhandling Michigan. The blue looked pathetic against him. With him out late in the 4th, don't throw a bomb. Get the first down. I knew we were in trouble as soon as Clausen dropped back. Tate was not on yesterday. We beat ourselves and I am sick of loosing. Your thoughts?

my thoughts is weis needs to go and soon. he's done nothing for this program. why are you throwing the ball when your wr's cant catch and your running game is good. restore to glory my ass. i also think ND should go to the big east like all the other sports at the school. I'm tired of playing all these rival schools and loosing. ND can easily go 4-8 or 5-7. it has alot to do with recruiting these days. most kids dont remember the days of tim brown and the bus or rick mirer or teams from ND past. they all see how good florida, texas and other big schools and wanna go to them.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight

Charlie does have to go. He actually has recruited well, except for his first season, when he was buisy preparing for the Super Bowl. This is his team and I believe he has good players. A good coach would have lead ND to a convincing win yesterday. The offensive guru is not so smart afterall. They won't get rid of him unless he loses 3 games. That is my guess. If only he lost against Hawaii. He'd already be gone.
I don't like Florida. In fact, can't stand them. I can't say the same about Tebow. It's not his fault that his name is constantly mentioned. He seems like an all around good person who happens to be a great football player. Not too many people at his level give of themselves like he does. Furthermore, he could have signed a nice NFL contract but stayed in Florida.
Go Irish!!! Beat Michigan!!!
Tebow won't be much of anything in the NFL. He knows that. Everyone knows that....
oh and..... Go Blue
Are you telling me that Tebow won't make a nice income from in the NFL? Never said he would be great in the Pro's. Whats your beef with him anyway? He knows how to win the big games.
Oh, USC won. Not surprised as the big 10 can't beat the major programs. As for the Michigan game. Notre Dame beat themselves. They were far superior to the blue. Penalties destroyed their chance.
Tim Tebow is just not a NFL style QB. He won't go far. Not a big deal. There was/ is no beef...
As for ND, Penalties destroyed their chances? ND had 75 Penalty yards to Michigans 59. 16 yard difference. Michigan was getting holding calls left and right during the first half, and cleaned it up. Forcier handle the pressure and made some descent plays when it counted.
Clausen could of took a sack to keep the clock running on 3rd down. It would of just brought a time out. Instead he threw the ball away, no big deal. Sure the play calling was questionable at that time, but Weiss wanted the win, and giving the ball back to Michigan with time on the clock wasn't as good of a chance. And with the way they were throwing the long ball all day I couldn't really blame him. Shook I thought Rich Rod was nuts for punting away with 3 minutes to go.
I have no beaf with ND either, when they come up and tailgate we have just as good of a time with that group. It's football its a good time. And it was a great game to watch.

all the scouts said at best he would be a 2nd-4th rounder and not a qb . he's more of a wildcat player. he. the gators play a soft schedule like always. they never schedule non conference teams that aren't to far away from florida. you think florida would ever play a team like ohio state or penn state. they are over rated in my book. play some teams that aren't cupcake wins.
I agree with the Florida schedule comment some what. But then I think about some of the teams they have to play in the SEC, and I sort of understand it then....

I agree, I am not a Florida fan, they may play a soft out of conference schedule(outside of Florida State), but then considering they will play teams like, Miss, LSU, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee etc and a probably SEC title game? For the Big Ten, Ohio State playes two hard games a year with Michigan rebuilding. And Penn State plays a worse OOC schedule than Florida. Notre Dame gets to pad their wins with Army, Air Force, and (usually) Navy every year and still is not doing anything. USC will have 2 hard games with OSU out of the way. The Big Twelve took a shot with Bradford going down so Texas should mow through that league. Florida does not have it that easy.
...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
Furthermore, he could have signed a nice NFL contract but stayed in Florida.
Why does this matter? Would he have been a bad guy for going to the NFL? He's only take one joke class.
Don't really know what your second sentence means. I have respect for college athletes who return to school given the opportunity to go to the NFL. What is the purpose of College?
Um, he's not really going to college, he's just playing football. So basically you are saying you have respect for people who want to be a big fish in a small pond.

Is Tebow only taking one class? Or is he only doing that since he has the credits to graduate already? He seems like the type that is actually a student athlete. Now someone like Crabtree last year or maybe even Pryor, they are only there to go to the NFL in a year or two.

I'm a huge Irish fan and the Charlie teams have simply been soft. They have never put teams away (Except Nev). I thought this was going to be a different team, but it seems they have all the talent in the world and no heart. Jimmy is soft....I don't think I have ever seen Jimmy Clausen stand in the pocket and deliver a pass where he knew he was going to get hit.
With that said, I think they are still a very talented team that can run the table until USC. I really see them giving USC trouble.

Well Florida State just had a Rhodes scholar- that is pretty impressive if you know what the Rhodes is, and he was a starter that could have easily gone pro. I knew a few players when I was in college, and yes some were there to just play football, and some were there to do something once they graduated.

this is the problem i have with ND and it's exactly why people don't take them seriously. they schedule all these rival games against teams that suck and haven't done anything for 10-20 years. I'd love for them to play a team like penn state or rutgers or some teams from the WAC and big 12 instead of the military schools.
Ron: I just don't feel like going out tonight
Sammi: Wanna just break up?
Notre Dame has softened their schedule. They've traditionally had a very competitive schedule. They just haven't been able to win the big games since the Holtz era period. It's not a question of talent for the group this year, it's the coaching.

It's not the number of penalties or the yards lost that I am referring to. It is the lost opportunity that came with the penalties. Agreed that it was a great game. Forcier was great. I was surprised. I just think that Notre Dame should have won that game. We kicked our own ass.

This has been a common pattern with "Most" teams anymore. Just to many teams out there that are competitive anymore. Now if we could just get a 8 or 16 team play off.......

meant to post in this thread earlier but last week finally made my first big-time college football game when I went to the USC-Washington game. It was pretty cool to see the Huskies pull off that upset, especially since I was sitting in the USC cheering section. I also liked Husky Stadium's atmosphere for a game.

I guess when you recover 3 fumbles on the opponenet's side of the field in the first half and only manage to put up 3 points, you're not going to do to well.

heck of a game
the PSU QB looked defeated at the end.
Yeah, I will admit that I was more than worried for most of that first half!
Hehehehe!

Heading back to Iowa City for the Iowa-Michigan game in a couple weeks! Can't wait!!!!
i liked how the coach answered the post game interview question about what he thought.
