That being said, I'm not willing to settle for a festival date. I want a tour with real PJ shows. Don't get me wrong, ACL did rock, but it was a pretty run of the mill greatest hits setlist, with a few exceptions... getting to hear ben with the band on red mosquito was great, and The Mountain song with Perry Ferrel, well.. and The Real Me was nice.... but.... I need my usual 2 and a 1/2 hour fix of the band... an hour and 50 just doesn't cut it
They will be playing a full set at PJ20, it won't be like Austin.

Thanks captain obvious. I needed you to make that clear for me. Obviously it is my first day on the board and I know nothing about PJ's live shows.
Obviously I'm not expecting PJ20 to be in the south. I was merely stating that if they were to play a date here, I would prefer that it not be a festival date like the last two (i.e. 2009 ACL and 2010 Jazzfest) because the sets are shorter, and usually the setlist is geared more towards the greatest hits (although to be fair the Jazzfest setlist was pretty unique).
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.

You need to learn to read. I never thought you said it would be in the south. You said you didn't want a festival setlist and I said that PJ20 won't be a short festival setlist.
I thought you guys had fun didn't you? It sure looks like Ed is having fun...
Please come back....

How about a Southern Tour - like the Canada tour of '05. This time you east coast and west coast fans can jump on planes and fly to our hometowns for a change. I'm thinking something like this:
Phoenix - Albuquerque - Oklahoma City - Dallas - Austin - Houston - New Orleans - Little Rock - Memphis - Nashville - Lexington - Virginia Beach - Charlotte - Atlanta - Charleston - Jacksonville - Tampa - West Palm Beach - Miami

Everytime I see these pictures, it reminds me of the ucky squishy sound it made when I walked in that..
Nonetheless, come back to Texas!!!
lol.... I think that squishy sound is burned into my brain forever....
I remember buying about 4 water bottles trying to wash the shit off me outside of the concert... then when I got back to Houston 4 hours later getting in the shower to scrub at the dried on stuff... ugh... gross...

There are 2 lovely theaters Houston that we would love for you to rock:
Jones Hall, you're buddy uncle neil played here last year
or the Worthman theater (has 2 theaters in it, one that houses ~2200 people and another that houses ~1200 people if you want to have a more intimate show )
Both theaters are quite beautiful and rather historic.... please consider this... I'm sure you could sell out either of these venues as fast as you sold out everywhere else.
Thanks,
Andrew

Agreed on Jones Hall in Houston. It's a beautiful theater right downtown. I saw Ladysmith Black Mambazo there in February - my wife is from South Africa and they're a pretty well known acapella group from SA - and it was an amazing show. Great little theater. 2nd row dead center didn't hurt either. Would love to see an Ed show there.

It'll be interesting to see if SG decides to pass through our region... Chris Cornell just did, so I am assuming they well....
