That is a really solid lineup. If it wasn't so far, I would be there.
it's getting better, but still waiting on that PJ announcement.
JJ Grey and Mofro will be there, too

Yeah, Cake snuck in under the radar.
That one was kind've weird cuz i'm 99% sure they weren't in the scavenger hunt list,
but when Deluna readded the lineup to the mainpage, they were mysteriously on it.
That list still says "MANY MORE TO BE ANNOUNCE SOON"
and in the tweets it said, "complete lineup to be announced in next 2 to 3 weeks".
Fingers crossed.
"Whats a boy to do?"
Just be faithful!
Don't tell the boys, but my heart is honestly more hopeful for the Pixies to be added than for PJ.
Probably more a function of the ratio of times I've seen PJ to the Pixies ... Like 25:1 (lolz? seen pixies twice)
But PJ, Janes, Pixies, Weezer, & Cake ... that could make for some PHENOMENALLY interesting guest spots on songs.
PJ has covered Jane's (in very brief parts, "they may say for those us were the days" ed tagged once)
and Jeff flat up says in interview watching Perry side stage with Janes during GreenRiver days was reason for wanting a new band.
Weezer has covered Pixies (Weezer - Velouria)
and Frank Black said that cover was his favorite on that tribute album.
Perry Farrell covered Where is My Mind
and the pixies?
well they do what they fucking want!
though my favorite cover they do (that i know of) is Neil Young's Winterlong
MAYBE they would let Ed sing it with them?
lol.
Either way.
CAN'T WAIT FOR THE REST OF THE LINEUP!
(fingers fucking crossed)
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
A Boy Can Dream?
Eddie Vedder & Jane's Addiction - Oceansize
Steven Perkins & Pearl Jam - In My Tree (or Who You Are)
Steven Perkins & Matt Cameron in a 10 minute drum solo - drum off. OMFG lolz.
Frank Black & Perry Ferrell with Weezer - Put Me Back Together
Perry Ferrell with Pearl Jam - The Kids Are Alright
Eddie Vedder with The Pixies - Levitate Me (or Broken Face)
Eddie Vedder w Jane's - Nausea (X)
everyone with Cake - Warpigs (sabbath)
Perry & Eddie, D. Navarro, Mike, D. Lovering - Second To None (avengers)
Oh man> I could go on all day thinking up strange ass things for these bands to do together, with eachother (dirty dirty stuff, even) ... but alas, i must be on my way. Work shmirk. what a jerk.
PLAY THE MOTHERFUCKING SOUTH!

According to a few posts on the Deluna message board Cake was on the scavenger hunt and they were surprised that they weren't on the original lineup, so who knows. 2-3 more weeks? Damn! I guess I can wait it out. PJ PLEASE!!!

DeLuna Fest fans want Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, Tom Petty
In looking at the results of GoPensacola.com's informal "who should DeLuna Fest get?" poll, one thing is clear: the overall strategy of focusing the lineup on indie and alternative rock acts is a good one, but the audience definitely wants to see more "star power."
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the two acts receiving far and away the most votes -- Red Hit Chili Peppers and Pearl Jam -- are alt-rock icons. They're followed by a music legend, Tom Petty, whose influence on alt-rock is indelible. (Don't believe us? Ask the Foo Fighters why they chose to cover "Breakdown" at the Hangout Fest a few weeks ago.)
The remainder of the Top 10 vote-getters, with the exception of crossover country stars the Zac Brown Band, reads like a litany of the most successful and buzzworthy alternative and indie acts of the past two decades.
The poll results:
1. Red Hot Chili Peppers: 55%
2. Pearl Jam: 49%
3. Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers: 47%
4. Incubus: 36%
5. The Killers: 34%
6. Zac Brown Band: 33%
7. Cake: 26%
8. Modest Mouse: 26%
9. Mumford & Sons: 26%
10. 311: 26%
11. Duran Duran: 23%
12. Queens of the Stone Age: 22%
13. Arcade Fire: 21%
14. Miranda Lambert: 20%
15. The Strokes: 18%
16. Florence + the Machine: 18%
17. Ben Harper: 18%
18. Michael Franti & Spearhead: 15%
19. Franz Ferdinand: 13%
20. The Decemberists: 13%
21. Neon Trees: 13%
22. The Shins: 11%
23. Girl Talk: 10%
24. Moby: 10%
25. Bassnectar: 9%
26. Deadmau5: 9%
27. Wiz Khalifa: 9%
28. Interpol: 7%
29. Sleigh Bells: 7%
30. Skrillex: 4%
31. A-Trak: 1%
Note that respondents were allowed to choose more than one act, and even had the opportunity to vote for ALL of the listed acts. Among the listed acts were several artists that were presented to GoPensacola.com by festival organizers as real possibilities for the October bill, but we cannot tell you which acts those are.
Other acts suggested by fans on GoPensacola.com and on GoPensacola.com's Facebook page included Wu Tang Clan, Beck, the Avett Brothers, 30 Seconds to Mars, the Black Keys, the String Cheese Incident, STS9, Widespread Panic, Phish, Further, Cage the Elephant, 3OH!3, Eminem, Kid Rock, They Might Be Giants, Dinosaur Jr., Coldplay, Stevie Nicks, REO Speedwagon, Peter Frampton, Elton John, AC/DC, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Keller Williams, ABB, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, the Flaming Lips, Yo La Tengo, Woods, Bon Iver and Fleet Foxes.
While alt- and indie-rock dominated the possible poll responses, offerings in country, jam band, hip-hop, electronic and other genres received far less enthusiastic responses and were not frequent suggestions among those volunteering their favorite acts.

Realisitcally speaking, this wishlist doesn't look much different than the wishlist of most any music festival (with the notable absense of Radiohead)...
I'm still holding out for more details on Voodoo.... It's looking good so far with Soundgarden, City and Colour, Girl Talk, and Portugal, the Man... but after what happened with ACL I'm not committing until I get to see the full lineup....
Houston, Texas... Believe it or not, there are 7 million people here... must be a couple of fans who'd love to see you play.
