try thinking of something really horrible, or boring, like Margaret Thatcher juggling naked... that should help prevent you coming too early...
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?0 -

there is if you organise it and then create a new thread for it.oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.0 -
I work in White City/Shepherd's Bush and am going to the gig. Thought i'd give you a run down of the pubs in the area around the Empire.
Defectors Weld - Really nice little boozer, can get a little tricky getting a beer when busy but a nice place - about 2 mins from venue on the green. Nice beers too.
The Green - opposite Defectors Weld. Typical pub, you'll get your Fosters/Guiness etc there.
Weatherspoons - enough said really. In the shopping centre opposite Shepherd's Bush station. Full of alcoholics and stinks of piss...cheap drinks as always.
O'Neils - just around the corner from the Empire. Enough said about the place.
Vez Bar - slightly more swanky (for Shep Bush anyway) - cocktails and beers, usual stuff, more relaxed atmosphere. Opposite O'Neils
and of course there's good old Walkabout next to the venue and there's not much more that needs to be said about that one.
As for the 02 - The pub next to the entrance is a great place for a few drinks after the show, always a good atomosphere and they'll be Pearl Jam music on...Good times!!Reading Festival - Aug 27, 2006,Shepherd's Bush Empire - Aug 11, 2009, Wuhlheide - Aug 15, 2009, O2 Arena - Aug 18, 2009, GM Place - Sep 25, 2009, Madison Square Garden - May 20, 2010, Madison Square Garden - May 21, 2010, Hyde Park - Jun 25, 2010, Wuhlheide - Jun 30, 2010,0 -

Sorry peeps but Mr. Dunkman has a point... this thread is for the Manchester and London O2 shows. The shows that the majority of us are going to.
If you wish to discuss SBE meet up plans, please start another thread. Many thanks.Been to this many PJ shows: Reading 2006 London 2007 Manchester & London 2009 Dublin, Belfast, London, Nijmegen & Berlin 2010 Manchester 1 & Manchester 2 2012...
... and I still think Drive-By Truckers are better.0 -

If anyone needs contact details, you can annoy me. All these folks are lovely and friendly, and it's actually weird to think I've only met some of you once, or not at all! So don't be scared, come along, even if ye just lurk and have never posted here!
