I would probably find some way to get back to Aus if PJ did a 10C show in Melbourne...Palais Theatre..good grief that would be PERFECT...

  • I'am seriously pissed and dissapointed about this.

I could not care where they play, infront of how many people, inside/outside. I just never thought I'd miss a show in Melbourne since 1995. It seems this year, I will. Not everyone has a credit card, and not everyone can get tickets with a week's notice. I think its very poor form to not announce it before some commercial radio station that has a constant hard on for radio rock with the lowest ratings of any radio station does. I also think it's poor form to not announce the on-sale dates until a week before. Ticketek atleast we can thank for telling us.

My second fave band Placebo don't even have a fan club, nor do they play for long hours at gigs, but at least they have the common decency to tell us 2 months ago that ''we will be in Australia in January I promose'' : Brian Molko. So looks like I'll atleast get to see one of my fave bands this year while i ponder why I ever bothered re-joining the 10c.

Is it seriously that difficult to just TELL US WHATS GOING ON?!

no one should complain the rumors have been around since late june that PJ were playing in Australia Nov/Dec.. Surely thats enough time to get things organized for the tickets on sale.

i'm not sure i understand what you are mad at.

if you don't have a credit card, can i ask how you re-joined the fan club?

as for the notice for placebo, there is still nothing official about a tour yet, sure molko has said in interviews they will be hear in January, there have been rumours of a PJ tour floating around for months.

if the whole reason you aren't going to a melbourne show is lack i credit card i'm not really following as i'm sure you need a credit card to join 10 club. but you can walk into a ticketek box office and pay with cash or EFTPOS.

i know some people don't credit cards, i'm one, i've had a visa debit card since 1998, which can be used exactly like a credit card, but instead of getting a bill every month it's the same as any bank card, the money comes right out of your account, no money in there it will get denied.

  • With all due respect....we've known for quite some time that they were going to tour at the end of the year. You shouldn't be waiting til a pre-official announcement at 10C to get your funds in order.

rumours are exactly that.. rumours. not fact, it's seriously not too much to ask for someone to say something to confirm it. i'm upset about this as it's going to be the first and only show i've ever missed just because it seems like fun to keep people guessing until the last minute. :|

  • Having said that - all my PJ savings are on my online saver earning me a nice 3.5%. I hope like hell they don't start selling 10C tix Monday morning on a first in first served basis.

My $$$ is making the mad dash back to my VISA debit card, but they won't be there in time for Monday!

Stupid no transactions on a weekend crap.....get it together banks, we're in the 21st century!!

  • ok thats kewl. having just been fired along with my entire department, having a car loan , personal loan , and rent to pay makes it hard to come up with the funds for a pair of tickets a.s.a.p. .. infact it's impossible.

oh, sorry man. well there are a few factors involved besides late notice of ticket sales. a roof and food has gotta come 1st.

    nite everyone :(
  • Shit man, that sucks.

I'm not sure what industry you're in, but have you thought of temping?

I used to be a temp consultant, and a temp employee - so I could give you the inside word if you want some tips. If you position yourself correctly you can make some pretty easy cash at some pretty decent hourly rates. But as I said, I don't know what industry you're in.

Send me a message if you like.

  • Damn ur quick!

Now....we need to know about the damn 10C tix!

Time to start booking flights I guess!
  • Anyone got any info about possible 10C releases, and whether this is a seated, or GA setup across the gigs?

I'm confident it will be seated. No news on 10c sales.

I like your confidence. It makes me feel confident.

Now give me confidence that these 10C ticket sales won't be bounced on us Monday morning 9am. I need a couple of days to wangle my fundages!

PS - Appears wangle IS a word. I hope the fuzz aren't reading this thread - I might not have my freedom come November!

That doesn't look too good for extra shows but I guess we shouldn't expect 2 shows when they're already so big. And hopefully if they do doubles 10C can be in on it.

It's sad to see they're now part of the "gold/silver" ticketing. Though I know it kind of makes sense and i kind of fair. It's also kind of shit.

well the press release does say "The shows announced will be ‘one-show-only’ concerts"

so there will not be doubles.

and i doubt, without even an official 10 club announcement yet that 10c tickets will be sold monday

Small article on PJ coming to New Zealand in the Wellington newspapers today:

    http://www.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment ... d=10588104
  • Small article for a Small Town.....in a Small Country. How very fitting

The sectioning isn't a bad thing at all.

Think about it guys. It'll help get the common folk there, down the back, where they belong.

Compare the ticket prices to AC/DC ($150 for Gold)

Now compare the ticket prices to 06. They're up a measly TWENTY FOUR BUCKS.

Seriously, who the hell can complain about that?!

this one came out today too. did anyone here know that Ed used to have an apt in Bondi Beach? or that Mike surfs? interesting stuff. (already requested it to be added to the interview thread, but thought you guys might like it)
