Some smaller 10C only shows would be awesome if they're doing 50,000+ stadiums!

In our dreams. If they dont do 10c only shows in the US, what hope have we got of them here? Of course I would like 10c only shows, but it won't happen. Anyone got any idea of 10c membership in Australia each city?

Maybe not a 10C only show, but a club show ala Shepherd's Bush in London could happen... possibly in Melbourne?

a 10c only show in Australia would be a very small show.

i believe around 2000 the figures were quoted as 1000 10 club fans in Australia. it would more then likely be less then that now.

so unless pj are gonna spring to fly all aussie 10clubber to the one city there wouldn't be a very big turn out. i know a lot would travel for a 10c only show.

Well I think something similar to Shephards Bush wouldn't be out of the question.

They've done it for Europe/UK so I can't see why they couldn't do it for Australia. There are 2 night gaps between the shows so it can happen. Let's just pray that it does.

guys we need to start a ten club petition to get names and ten club numbers for people that would travel interstate for a ten club only extreme intimate show!

1000 members means we'd get 2000 people in a small venue (2 tickets per member)

  • If they play Perth first on say the 14th, then I would say melbourne should get two shows seeing as there is a five day gap inbetween adelaide and sydney. However, in 2006, Ed did say that he wanted to start in Adelaide next time they were here.
Apparently the herald Sun is revealing the tour tomorrow in the Sunday Herald Sun, so I guess we just wait and see. Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, NZ, Hawaii makes sense though doesn't it. all just a round trip without zigzagging across the country like they did last time.

30,000 is nothing. they have played to crowds of 70,000 before.

a huge crowd can be really cool. as far as the stage goes, i wouldn't expect anything more than a backdrop. it's about the music, not pyro. if you get the chance, go

here 30000 is something. we only have 21 odd million peeps here. the US has how many??? 260 odd million or something. the base just isnt here.

I would be GUTTED if there was no special area for 10C front of stage!

Please, please, please get this right for us!?
Yes but how are they going to do that? Stadium shows are usually GA on the floor area/down the front. Set up special chairs for 10 club members and standing room for everyone else? I doubt it! People like me will have to get there at 9 in the morning, line up all day just to get up the front at one of these shows. I'm prepared to do it, but what a bummer! Would prefer shows at places like RLA where we have allocated 10 club seats. Can't imagine Pearl Jam filling more than one Myer Music Bowl, one Etihad Stadium as they're not as popular as the AC/DCs of this world. Thus, only one show per city imo. Therefore, I'm off to Sydney and Adelaide as well. Bring it on!
U2 did the elipse thing last tour, where the first X thousand got wristbanded and into an area like the D Barrier they use at BDOs. Maybe PJ could do simlar for Ten Clubbers??

i have to admit that U2 gig at QSAC in 06 was brilliant. we were inside the D barrier and there was room enough to swing a cat. the stage was shaped like a torc(which i doubt will be how pj set up) so for some they were surrounded by the band literally. that seemed a tad claustrophic for me so my sis and i stood back against the barrier and were still close enough to see bonos smirk.

tip: on the day bring blowup furniture to lounge on in line, its cheap and can be easily discarded when the gates open.

the only downer of the day was the absolute disorganisation of the buses out of there. oh and the fact that the idiots thought it a good idea to have only one exit open.
