this is a backdoor link into ticketek.. you won't find it by searching for it.. i just happened to discover it.

and so yeh thought id beat 10c to it...

as ticketek is not selling the melbourne show, i presume it is a ticketmaster event which possibly suggests the myer bowl or etihad. my money is on friday 20th for that one.

perth 14th saturday at subiaco or members equity i presume is also on the cards.
Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.

    BANG!

Come on, 10c. It's out there. Announce it! ;)
    Come to send, not condescend...
  • Great news about the stadiums. Didn't feel like another entertainment centre tour.

    Awesome news.

Great news about the stadiums. Didn't feel like another entertainment centre tour.

    Awesome news.

    Why is that great news?

The only almost bright side of that is 10C should have tickets for every show and it'll be cheaper for people to go to all 7 shows instead of all 12.

Huge outdoor shows is very unexciting to me :(

say what....i was at bonnaroo in 08...talk about huge and outdoors. i'd take a set up like that over a stadium and day of the week.

  • K, so an hour and a half ago when I found out that they're doing a stadium tour in Aus i was pretty bummed out, but after thinking about considerably, i've now come to realise that this could very easily be the last time PJ ever hit our shores, hope not, but could very well be. A tour is a tour and, the whole tour it shall be. they've never done a big stadium tour before so it will be interesting to see how they go on the big massive stage in front of 30000 + people each night without the stage show of say U2 and ACDC with the fireworks and all that shit. Could actually be pretty fraking good, actually, im sure it will be.

Guess i was just bummed that they're only doing "one show per city", thought they would have done a 10 show tour, but maybe their full tour days are over??? who knows. wait and see i guess.

Bring it on! possible return to Sidney Myer Music bowl in Melbourne?? tis where it all began for me in 1995, maybe its where it all ends?? :-)

I'm thinking the Docklands over the Bowl as the capacity is similar to the stadiums for Sydney and Brisbane? Also docklands isnt a ticketek arena so maybe thats why a Melbourne date wasnt listed on ticketeks website? Please dont play Melbourne on the 20th or earlier otherwise I cant make it :(

:o just googled them places, and they are massive! is pearl jam that big over there? cool~

30,000 is nothing. they have played to crowds of 70,000 before.

a huge crowd can be really cool. as far as the stage goes, i wouldn't expect anything more than a backdrop. it's about the music, not pyro. if you get the chance, go

Back in the day yes, dunno about now as I'm in the States. They did play 3 shows at Rod Laver in '06 and that holds 15K+ but how many repeats went to all 3 or a combo of the 3?

I knew they'd bring Liam with them for New Zealand. That's got to be so awesome for him.

from what I remember at the 03 Hershey Stadium show (cap. 30,000) every thing went just fine. felt like an outdoor party. and then of course lolla 06 had around 70,000 people. music still rocked. the big screens helped a lot.
