Wow. I managed to get a ticket in the 3.30pm HMV pre/post sale!

Therefore I don't need to be entered into the lottery, but thanks again for setting this up.

Sorry - what second HMV sale today? I am still awaiting my missing second link - are you telling me that they had ANOTHER ticket sale today after the one this morning?

Damn, someone over on The Porch said the link for this afternoon's sale was 'only sent out to people who complained about the original sale', so although I missed out again I was pretty sure you'd have been top of their list. Sorry to hear that you weren't.

LOL, no worries but thanks :)) I think they don't like me very much anymore after my heavy email...! :)

It means you still need tickets after the General Sales and want to drag the agony out for another week!!!! ;)

ha ha I mean because some of us are saying put me in bold etc. does this give those in bold a priority over those not in bold, or are those not in bold excluded or what?

    any clarity on this?

Lol, just read it back, I didn't exactly clear things up did I!

Anyway can I be bolded, underlined and put in red if it gives any priority, ;)
  • Hopefully got the right thread - please include me in the lottery as i had no luck with the 10C of GA sale

    Goods luck everyone

Ames, I finally got my 2 accounts merged together so I have my old username back now. Can you replace Fuckin Up on your list to this one please? I can send you the email from TC if you need proof that it's me! Thanks

I must admit I have been looking very much forward to the O2 gig for months now but in all fairness, it will be such a damp squib now we know of the SBE gig - especially all the effort everyone's gone to in order to get tickets. And all the people who are at the O2 who have tried their hearts out to get SBE tickets will just be wondering what might have been.

Believe me it's been a very dispondent day for me for more than PJ reasons - glasses are half empty at the moment!

Still great work with this threat, I really hope we can get more spares thrown this way.

    Lets all keep hoping guys!

Even though I have U2 at Wembley Stadium, Pearl Jam at O2 and Reading Festival to look forward to, I'm still really gutted. Sheperds Bush would have been the icing on the cake :(

  • PJ at the O2 is the only gig I can afford all year :-( I'm a green eyed monster :)

I propose that for those of us who can't go to SBE, we all make a plan to that night do something cool like listen to our PJ albums, have a beer or two at home and hang on here - we will have a virtual gig on here! That way we can be with the SBE in spirit and give each other a little moral support :-)

NB - I've started a new thread for it - < gulp > hope someone wants to join in ;)

I'm not a massive U2 fan, but we tried for tickets but they were so expensive and I didn't want to pay those prices for a band I am not overly keen on. I agree though, knowing they are playing a small venue and you can't be there sucks. But We still have the O2 at least. And we could live in Greece or Croatia, where there's loads of PJ fans and the band never play there.

I noticed on the SBE roll call thread they have began forming a list of those that have ticket(s).

As well as ensuring who still needs tickets for the lottery we could work off that list and see who succeeded in getting tickets.

    What do ye think Ames?

  • Thanks for the try Olivavu! Don't think I made the list as I've been out all day! I'm hoping that as Ticket Wank (sorry, I mean web) have debited my card twice but sent no confirmation, I should be able to blag some tickets!

    Fingers crossed!

Well done to those who got in there, it's tough!

I know what you mean... I was so excited about the o2 gig right up until the day the SBE gig was announced, then it was screw the o2 I want to be at SBE! It really has put a dampner on it for me... I'm sure I'll enjoy the gig but I know I'll be wondering what could have been.
  • Hi

Just confirming that I still am in need of a ticket

Thanks for all your work in putting this together

    Cheers

    Hi Guys

I did forget to say 'can I be bolded' in the above haha....so just in case...can I be bolded?

    Cheers

Still only three spares... well two because Ames deserves one
  • Are the names of people that still want a ticket going to be updated - mine is still not in bold despite posting in this thread that I definitely want one.....
  • I'm not sure Ames has had a chance to do them yet?
  • Hi guys.

Sorry I've been MIA for the past 12 hours or so. Went to see some friends then went straight to work at a night shift.

Soooo I've updated the main post with those confirming they still want tickets.

Pegasus - very sorry I missed you off the list. You have now been added and confirmed.

I have to reiterate that it has been decided that no more people are to be added to this list, it may seem unfair, but that is what was decided over the evolution of this lottery idea.

We still don't have nearly enough spares involved. I have talked to those who have said they have spares and have been added to the list, but some are not even 100% that they will be able to sell a spare via this system. So please, ANY fans out there with spare tickets, consider selling them to a fan in need on here.

On a personal note, thank you so much for suggesting that I get the first ticket drawn. In a way I feel like I'm cheating you all for taking priority, so I will do my best to sort out a ticket outside of this draw, that way I'm not reducing anyones chances on this list.

Once again, sorry it took a while to update.

EDIT, something went wrong with my main post edit the first time, so I'm adding the bold again now.

Ames, are there really only 17 people after the 3 tickets? or am i being a moron?

and I still dont see Pegasus on there ;)
  • No worries Ames, I kinda feel like you really deserved a night off of this forum after everything this week :-)

We definitely don't have lots of offers of spares - a few peeps directly offered spares to their friends on here and I don't think we have hardly any more than when we first started. A few folk have also gone halves / bought tickets on evil Ebay so the list of wants might have gone down tho, not sure. It still seems to me that there is a gap of tickets somewhere - between HMV, touts, 02 and 10c it doesn't seem as all the tickets have gone out - maybe there is something still to come but I doubt it :-(

As I mentioned in the edit of that last post, the last time I tried to edit the main post it failed, but it's worked now.

    Consider the main post updated.

sorry, i saw that and thought you had already redone it....getting my hopes up again!!!
  • pdalowskypdalowsky Doncaster,UK Posts: 15,096
so Ames, 39 people want a single at least with 3 spares maybe

a 1 in 13 chance of getting in still.

    Thats not so bad.

Probably better odds than the tenclub lottery
  • At least we know we aren't going to fail to recieve any email links, get our cards charged three times or get stuck in a made up queue that clearly only works if you have registered previously as a money grabbing tout :D

Yeah man. If you want something doing properly, ask the jamily instead! We know how to do things properly :-D
  • Ideally we will have more than 3 spares by next Thursday. I really hope so anyway.

I'm betting there are a few people on the list who are both yet to drop out as they got a ticket through other means, and who have yet to confirm they want tickets. So that number of 39 could either go up or down yet!

Yeah, very true, i think people are so desperate to get in though they would confirm here straight away just to get in.
