Give me some votes people, who is for/against putting a cap on the wanted list before the general sale?

Obviously many on the list will be removed once they get tickets in the general sale, but we will have a fairly large number of fans on this list as of tonight, and at the moment at least, not many spares.

I'd say set a dead line, a reasonable on like 6pm on Friday, for all entries. Some people don't get all the internet access they'd like and it needs to be at least a day after the sale so everyone can work out exactly what they have. People like me are still waiting on others to tell us if they want our second ticket, too. Not everyone knows if they have a spare straight away.

I'd make it clear that you need to have been in either the orignal HMV or 10C pre-sale and send the confirmation e-mail of that to the seller. The people who have been suffering these last days should be given priority.

this makes sense.....and means there wont be a mass of people making the list, as not everyone will have tried tenclub for tix or HMV......obviously people who post here too have to be tenclub members so it wont necessarily open the flood gates too much
Also, it should be clear that it's against 10C policy to make money out of this, just so that there are no arguments later, it could turn into an ugly situation if people don't realise we are helping each other out not trying to make a buck, so I'd just underline that. FACE VALUE or GIFT only.

as much input on this as possible is needed, because I will of course like to see those in group 7 get looked after, basically because i'll be in that group but that doesnt mean my preference is right...a little debate is needed so we are seen as being fair to all.

People who post in the forum do not have to be tenclub members, you can sign up to the forum without being in the fanclub.

I'm for it, at least those in on the list have a reasonable chance

Should we, as i shit suggested, make it after the general sale, or before? It all depends on how many spares get sent this way. If there is still 3 for 60+ people then it hardly seems worth it.

In my opinion, we should put a cap on the wanting ticket list at 9am tomorrow, when the general sale starts. That way we can remove the lucky ones who get tickets, and can start adding more spares from those generous enough to give them towards deserving fans.

We should not cap the spares list at all obviously, because the more available the better. I think then leaving it a few days till the draw is the best idea, as more spares may turn up, perhaps draw the tickets Thursday 30th (a week after the general sale)? Or leave it a bit longer to see if anymore spares arrive?
    Does this seem fair?
  • pdalowskypdalowsky Doncaster,UK Posts: 15,096
that seems fair, but I'd do the draw no later than a week after......the spares will have surfaced by then i would ahve thought, the excietment of this is so great

Personally, thinking about it, I'd only have 2 groups of people: those who entered the 10C lottery and those who didn't. Because:

    - There are a number of people who claim not to have received the e-mail link from HMV, so they won't be able to prove it either way if they were in that auction or not. They would lose out twice!
    - The album went on sale through the goods section before the HMV announcement. A lot of 10C members will have buoght it here first, in multiple formats. Some people won't have had enough money to by a 10 quid HMV copy, which they already knew to be superfluous, especially as they knew tickets would somehow be available here.
    - Anyone who failed in the HMV pre-sale would have had a chance to enter the lottery here, as the lottery at 10C closed at 5pm yesterday and the HMV sale was in the morning. If they wanted tickets, they could easily have had a second bite at the cherry here.
    - Also, I doubt there are many 10C members, if any, who entered the HMV lottery and not this one.

Therfore, I'd put the HMV thing out of your mind and just have two groups, those who were in the lottery here and those who were not.
we're all going to the same place...

Im cant believe how great everyone here is. What a good bunch of honest people! I think that category 7 should have preference but i also think only 10c members should be eligible...

"I'd make it clear that you need to have been in either the orignal HMV or 10C pre-sale and send the confirmation e-mail of that to the seller. The people who have been suffering these last days should be given priority."

    Def agree with the above...

Firstly, I can be taken off the list, someone has very kindly sorted me out.

On the subject of spares. I also did not recieve an email from HMV, I have a friend who had the same problem so it could be rife. I think that the OP, the guy who came up with this idea should get a spare if he aint got one then he should at home privately allocate everyone who needs a ticket a number, then anyone who has spares can offer a ticket to a number. that person is then released from the lottery to make arrangements with the person who had spare. I think this would make it completely random as much as poss.
  • JollyJolly Posts: 100
the number things a good idea, but again i think there should be some sort of priority for those who are in the 10club, who missed out on the 10club lottery and the hmv presale...
  • Red-ManRed-Man Posts: 62
I agree with philthepip, regarding the OP getting first option on any spare ticket, and also agree with his method of allocating the remaining spares using the numbers draw.

With regards to proving you tried on the HMV sale - everyone who ordered the album will have an order number, and a relevant confirmation page on www with all the information on it (which can be cut and paste into an email if needed). So if they never received the email, it can be proved. Though those that ordered the albm on 10c might be hard done by, so it's a tough call.

Also vote for the list to be closed at 9am tomorrow morning.

I'll be trying with all means possible again tomorrow, and will update here once I know the outcome.

    Fucking come on!

PS. I don't require a +1, as is currently shown on the list.

EDIT: oh, i'll be Cat 7, or assume i will be when i miss out on the O2 presale or general tickets as well...

Actually, I was wrong about leaving the list open. It makes sense to close it before the sale, then spend until the Friday evening getting everyone up to date and then have the draw the next evening. However, I really wouldn't do the draw too soon, as it takes some people a while to get everything sorted out regarding spare and needs etc.

Just as an addendum, as scottie did above, people wanting tickets should be dead clear about how many they want. It's no good getting an offer of a spare from someone and then saying you want another one if you didn't +1 in the first place...
we're all going to the same place...
  • i'm a group 7 too

10C member who missed out on the lottery and on HMV

this thread is a great idea. even if it doesn't end up being me, i really hope as many people on the list as possible end up at the gig.

    YEAH GOOD SHOUT!!!

lets be realsitic the thought of loads of pairs flying around is a little optimistic

plus would be better if we satisfied as many individuals as apposed to a few couples

plz change me to a single cheers

yeah, hopefully we'll be able to get a bunch in the general sale/O2 sale tomorrow morning and put them up here so that the touts cant get their grubby mits on them and 10Club members get to go to the show!

Good point. Perhaps we should limit it to a single ticket each?
  • dbk06dbk06 Posts: 64
i think singles is probably the way to go

and should we all be lucky and plenty of us get some tomorrow and re-distribute we can roll it around again so some may end up with pairs!

    now whos being optimistic??????

philthehip - I'll take you off the list now.

    scottewing, dbk06 - I'll remove your +1

jrd, antsinvasion75, icemanap, dbk06 - I'll add you to the list

xnothingmanx, jack_bass_player, icemanap - I'll add your numebers

Thanks for your thoughts regarding supplying me with a ticket, obviously I'll try my hardest on Thursday nonetheless to get some spares around.

I was considering putting the names of all of those on the list into a hat, and all of those with spares into another, and then pairing them up at random. I'll even put the video on YouTube to make it more exciting  Does this sound like a good idea?

I also agree its fair to limit one ticket each, it's just so unlikely that there will be pairs around unfortunately, are we all agreed about that?

Edit - Are we all in agreement that we should put a limit on additions to the 'wanting tickets' list at 9am tomorrow, when the general tickets are on sale?

agreed so close tomorrow at 9, spares available to tenclub members who were in the lottery only, and singles only too....

Sounds good to me, everyone else agreed?
  • As I expressed through moist eyes last night, I fall into group 7 for what it's worth. I'd also agree that it might be fairer if everyone is restricted to asking for just one ticket.

Everything crossed for all of us tomorrow AM.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...
