Will obviously remove if successful tonight or Thursday.

    cheers.

To avoid confusion (or even create some more) this post was by me, on my old account. I just got TC to put me back to my old, old username, so MM85206 no longer exists. Just OffRamp. Can the list be amended to suit, in case I get extremely lucky?

If any of this needs further clarifcation then I'm sure the 10C peeps could confirm my identity. :D

I didn't get a ticket no :( I had two of my friends attempting to get two tickets each so I could put some spares in this lottery, but no luck.

Anyway, just an idea, but how does the idea of a confirmation post in this thread sound?

IE all of those in the wanting ticket list have to confirm that they are still in need of tickets before next Thursday?

It might whittle the list down a bit, as some may have got tickets from other means and forgotten about this thread.

So obviously simon, goddess, jeaubong and others who have requested to be kept on are safe, but anyone who has forgotten/doesn't need tickets anymore and doesn't post can be removed?

That just sucks, you go out of your way to help other people and you still get sweet FA in return!
Confirmation post sounds good. Please keep me on the list hun

I am still in need of a ticket too, a different thread would be helpful but I don't mind either way. Whatever is easier for you AD.
    :D Rock on!!!! :D
Seen Pearl Jam 4 times in London, once in Manchester, as well as an Eddie show at Hammersmith.

In light of this post can I just double confirm that I would like to remain on the list after this morning's agonies. Thanks for all your efforts, I really hope you get sorted out.
If I knew where it was, I would take you there...

    No worries.

On the subject of two tickets, it isn't really an option that these will be available in the lottery unless someone donates two spares. If so I will do a separate draw for two tickets.

A pair of tickets seems unlikely at the moment though, so unless we see a set of two tickets donated, I think we'll have to stick to one ticket for each 10C member.

    Sound fair?

Congrats to those who got tickets. If you have got tickets please notify Ames as soon as ye can. Same goes for anyone with spares.

judging by the three spares we have so far maybe it's just as well we leave the draw until next week and see how many more spares we get in.
  • Ir's really confusing as I noticed yesterday and today that peeps do have spares but are directly offering to other members so maybe a new thread is really going to be the best way and maybe we should all agree to keep it completely free of other clutter - ie. stick to talking about probs with HMV etc on this thread and the original, and use the new one ONLY for spares / requests?
  • Also - I would like to put this forward to everyone although I know we have discussed it already. In my opinion Ames has done a seriously amazing amount of work on here and been incredibly vigilant and dedicated. If we only end up with 3 spares, I suggest Ames is automatically given one rather than have his name in the lottery. What does everyone else think? Sorry if I am repeating myself or anyone else!

yep. it's not as if only 2 tix up for grabs in the lottery is going to reduce our odds by much is it... :D
Oh yeah? Well, I've had about enough of morons and halfwits, dolts, dunces, dullards and dumbbells - and you chowderhead yokel, you blithering hayseed, you - you've had enough of me?

Thanks a lot everyone. I really hope we get more spares. I'd feel guilty taking one of the tickets designed to be given into this lottery, but thanks so much for your kindness.

I'm making a new thread now.
  • No dude, thank YOU. You have been a bit of a light of reason amongst a lot of upset and disappointment.

Actually, you all freakin rule. I'd be a hell of a lot more upset now if it wasn't for all you peeps.
  • Thanks :)

    This is the new thread....

    viewtopic.php?f=5&t=104727

It has a titled designed to get a more spares involved
  • I'm not gonna be home for a lot of today, so I'm crossing my fingers that when I get home the new thread has done the trick and we get a few more spares involved.

Thank you so much for the support guys.

You're doing a stellar job, Ames!

Can't help thinking that if someone does donate a pair of spares (anyone?) the two tickets should be allocated separately to different people in the list. I guess I'm suggesting we make the one ticket per 10C member a hard and fast rule. You may disagree, however, and if you do I'll certainly respect that given all the work you've put in.

I don't know what actually happened, although I have since read that there was some kind of changeover on the boards and only 10C members are allowed to post now? Is that correct?

My old board account and my 10C account were different email addresses so that's how I ended up with two usernames.

I just asked 10C to sync the two so I kept my old board name and all my old 10C order history.

Yeah, I think, given the limited number of spares likely to be available, there should probably be a limit of one per person.
