Im not shooting down evey positive comment
just saying 2 things: that the announcement may not happen until the first show sells out and that people seem to forget that the 10c is not in the habit if giving us information-exactly the opposite actually
tis all, and why would what I say affect what you want to believe?
C'est la vie.
And I will say it again, i hope the show happens, hell, I hope they add more then one.0 -

the first show IS sold out. once the house sells a certain %, it's considered a sell out in the eyes of the promoter. If nothing is everything, I'll have it all0 -

i simply find it curious that you do so is all....just passing the time here my friend. if i didn't have a vested interest in a show, i doubt i'd spend too much time discussing it....but of course, that's just me.and nothing you say affects what i believe or desire....just like i can't imagine "as long as i am not in denial we're cool" is truly serious either......
and i do not think for one moment that either of your two comments above, is 'news' to any of us, even if you repeat it more than once....so i guess i missed the purpose of being the voice of reason is all. we're a bunch of adults on a rock band's message board...awaiting possible news of another show....i don't think much 'reason' plays into any of it.

Till there aint nothing left worth taking away from me.....0 -

No. It would be one thing if they decided, weeks later to add the third. What is so annoying about this is that they have had the 3rd show date reserved from day one. And given the fairly immediate success of ticket sales, it is odd that there has not been some sort of announcement regarding the 3rd show.
In short, no, I have not experienced other bands doing this sort of thing to this extent. Then again, I don't pay a whole lot of attention to other bands' touring procedures.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ
5/30/06 - Washington, DC
6/22/08 - Washington, DC
10/31/09 - Philadelphia, PA
8/5/16 - Fenway Park
Temple of the Dog - 11/5/2016 - Philadelphia, PA
7/1/2018 - Prague
7/3/2018 - Kraków
7/5/2018 - Berlin0 -

a lot of the "adults" here certainly don't act like adults. obviously, it can't be literally debated. :roll:If nothing is everything, I'll have it all0 -

What do YOU think is the reason for this delay, in announcing a 3rd show?Take me piece by piece.....

I am willing to bet it has more to do with Comcast and the closing of the Spectrum then the band. Not sure what those reasons would be, but Comast is not known for doing the most logical things....If there were no Angels would there be no sin?0 -

To be honest, I don't really know. A lot of the reasons I had initially considered have either passed or don't seem logical. I consider the 10/28 and 10/30 shows sold out at this point (even if there are some nosebleeds left for the 10/28 show) so that can't be the reason for waiting (I don't think). If there were still tix available for decent seats to either show, I think it would be possible to cite this as a reason. But like I said, I don't buy into it.
At this point I have to agree that it's probably something with Comcast/the Spectrum. I don't know what that would be, but unless the Halloween show simply is not happening, I would think we would have heard from the 10C by now. I just don't see any upside for the 10C to delay this announcement if they are going to make it, unless there is some hangup with Comcast/the Spectrum.
That's my thinking, but I'm not an expert on any of this.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

maybe... just maybe... they are going to throw in a few other east coast dates, and they are waiting for those to be finalized before they make the 10/31 announcement. i mean, i have no real reason to think this AT ALL, but one can hope, right?0

perhaps a grand finale show is in the works and they are still hammering out the details/performers0 -

This is actually the one reason I could see the 10C making the decision to delay an announcement as opposed to Comcast/the Spectrum being in the driver's seat.
If they were planning some other shows in the east coast they COULD be taking that into account. If they announce other east coast shows some fans may not feel like they have to travel to Philly for additional shows. Unfortunately, the 10C doesn't usually seem to take things like into account when announcing tour dates.
I would give more weight to this theory if their past tour announcements were more in line with this sort of consideration. My intuition is to lean the other way on this, but at this time I'll consider anything.5/28/06 - Camden, NJ

My airfare/hotel package has gone up $150 in the last 2 weeks. Im just not purchasing anything until I find out whats what.Take me piece by piece.....

I think one other possibility is that Comcast was thinking about whether to add the 27th along with the 31st, or just add the 31st and nix the 27th, and while this was being considered the Bruce shows went on sale, and then the 2 additional Bruce shows were added. I can see them not wanting to overlap the hype since they want to milk the "Remember the Spectrum" deal for every last penny.
just a theory. we'll see what happens.Found: Soundgarden Hyde Park DVD (Thank you for the gift!)
