just called and Stacy in customer service said that they have the 27th and 31st down as future dates, but they "have not been confirmed". So it looks like this will happen.. WHEN IS THE PRESALE???????? AAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

"have not been confirmed" DOES NOT MEAN that they are going to happen!
as said a million times....bands generally block off/reserve multiple dates at a venue. it does not mean that shows will be played on those dates.

i really dont believe these extra shows are going to happen

they are going to skip the 27th and just book the 31st.

reason: if they announce the 31st first, they might have a hard time selling out the 27th, being that it'll be the "final" spectrum show. if they announce them at the same time, same result. and
Halloween would be an effing good time to have show!

If they do end up booking the 31st, I don't know what I'll do. I already got my 10c tickets for the 28th and 30th and don't know about spending the money for a third show...but then again, if it's the last show at the Spectrum, I don't know how I could possibly miss it...

while i understand your theory i disagree for one reason and that reason is money. right now all the spectrum and those involved in making these dates happen are seeing dollar signs. they're saying "this band can sell tickets." you have two nights reserved for a band that sold out two shows in about a minute. that doesn't make them think "well, maybe they'll have a hard time selling out this night or that night." while i don't work in the music business, i imagine it's similar to most of the performance arts and that the saying "you're only as good as your last [fill in the blank]" holds true. if that's the case, pearl jam's been looking pretty good lately.

first of all, how do you know the guys even like their kids, not to mention love them? maybe they can't stand the little bastards. ever think of that? i'm just sayin'.

secondly, um, that's what wives are for.

besides, i think a few million bucks made from an added show can buy a decent amount of candy for those kids.

OR, they can use the dough to pay everyone on the block to walk around in costume on september 1 and take them trick or treating then.

It's not every day a band gets to play the last night of an iconic venue let alone as the last stop on the tour. I'm sure they've taken they're kids before unless someone just had one recently. (In which case he/she won't remember anyway).

Maybe they're just trying to save money. If the boys are playing a show then their wives have to go door to door with their kid, which means they don't have to buy bags of candy to give out cause no one will be home! Brilliant!

Only one way to be sure. Make up a tour date/city at random - say, "Pearl Jam playing Kalamazoo Oct. 12", make a thread, have some friends "confirm" it periodically and see if the mods call you out

I'm sure you've heard of the expression "hard act to follow". Recent history shows that tribute shows have been better received when presented prior to Pearl Jam, a la Five Against One's set at Bullies leading into the last Spectrum show in '03, and No Code's performance at the Wishlist fundraiser leading into the MSG 1 show in '08. Absent that option, it would make more sense to (live in the present tense, of course, but also to) schedule such an event after Pearl Jam has been gone for a length of time.

i seriously think...tomorrow. july 31st, exactly 3 months ahead....yeeeaaaaaaa. and if it doesn't happen tomorrow :( well then i just have not a fuckin' clue. i would sincerely HOPE it happens before pj hits the road, so that still would signify SOON. after that, who knows? however, i will still HOPE!
