    "Well we were just talking in the back and we were thinking that maybe on the strength of a night like this and uh really uh so you understand how much we appreciate it we were thinking that instead of waiting 2 years or even after we finish the next record maybe just next time we could come back and play just a few places that we’ve been to and this would be one of them."

    i would gladly see pj at alpine. i had tickets to the ice bowl and didn't get to go due to a sick child. i saw rage there last summer and thought it would be the perfect setting for pearl jam.

    I had a fun chat with somebody b4 nite one SD show about Alpine Valley. I still have hope they will return. :)

    Sick of a place you have never been? Flights are cheap from Denver to the Gorge... and Alpine is falling apart!

    I've been to Alpine (my first PJ show) but I was on the lawn and those were terrible!

    I am hoping to take advantage of my Ten Club membership next time around so I will ask a stupid question...

    As far as area venues, where would you rank Alpine?

    If you're asking me, I'm going to say it's at the TOP of the list!

    I would say that it's at the top of the list for venues in the entire country. Probably Top 3 in the United States.

    As far as "area venues" are concerned, it's number one.

    Picture this---

    A hill with a big SCOOP taken out of the side of it. All of the seats are angled so that the view from anywhere is perfect. It's a big bowl in the middle of Bumbletown, WI. There is a hotel connected to the venue--- they usually charge 69 bucks a night but for a concert night, they charge 200. (and get it!!!). There is a golf course and a pool--- the place is crawling with PJ fans the day of the show---
