    92 was pretty insane with Ed climbing onto the roof and sliding down the guidewires and everything. A killer 40 minute set.

    But 03 was absolutely perfect. One of the best concert experiences I've ever had. Perfect weather, best crowd, legendary performances, etc. etc.

    We need to experience that agian!!!

    So I was on my way back from IL this morning and was taking Highway 120 North from Lake Geneva. When I got to HWY D I decided to take a left, and pulled up Baba from the 03 show on my IPOD, rolled down the windows and cranked it as loud as I could as I drove by Alpine, thinking today would be a great day for them to play there, or hoping that they will play there one night this summer (I won't even be a greedy bastard and ask for 2, although they should play 2). COME BACK TO ALPINE!!!!

    Yes, today would have been perfect. I really hope they end up plaing at least one show here this summer. Would be a shame for them to be in Chicago for Lolla, and NOT have them stop by for a show at some point.

    I really hope they end up playing a few shows this summer in other cities as well.

    Today was a prefect PJ at Alpine day. :D I think it's cool they are playing Lolla. Alpine would rock alot more I bet. hehe

    Sort of unrelated, but...I just found out that Modest Mouse (who are one of the headliners at Lollapalooza) are also playing the Download Festival at Alpine Valley not even a month later, on Sept. 1st.

    So, for those people saying PJ wouldn't/couldn't play both Lolla AND Alpine...you never know!

    I got really pessimistic about the possibility of PJ playing Alpine Valley, but I'm back to being hopeful about it.

    Going to be 4 yrs this June since the words were said. Shaking my head and wondering WTF is wrong with coming back to Alpine?

    Well it looks like this isn't the year either. Always hope for 2008 then. Waited this long what's another yr right? :D It will make it even more special when it does happen. Another yr hearing the critics say Alpine isn't for PJ. I'll keep saying go listen to the 2003 show. That nite the amount of energy from the crowd and the band was amazing. I've never felt the same feeling at any show since. Come close a couple times but nope. Another year of hearing the Gorge is way better. The two are so different you can't compare them. The pictures of what I've seen from the Gorge is breathtaking indeed. Alpine just has something that makes it always a great experience. And when PJ plays there the place turns into the best venue in the fucking world. :D

    Those that have been there will agree. :)

    98, 00, 03, ...........07??-not bloody likely. 98 and 03 were two of the most beautiful days, and 00 was priceless beacause of the cold. I still cant believe they overlooked alpine last year to do two half shows with Petty. Alpine is going away soon, time is running out, how bout a two-nighter right before lalapalooza????
