i did not read through the full thread, and i really don't want to be a whiner, but my first thought was this....

wow another US "tour" and nowhere near st louis or the south. i am getting really tired of this. 9 shows in about 6 weeks, my cover band has done more than that in a month.

i live in st louis. we got a vote for change show and nothing since. seem like if you don't live on one of the coasts you are sh@t out of luck.

Dude, I know the feeling, I live in Columbia MO and I was PRAYING for a MO date. I got to the point where I bet against them announcing KC or STL and get a couple tickets to one of the Chicago shows and hope everything works out with work so I can see them, been doing that since '04. I know it is probably more difficult for the guys to do full blown tour now because most of them have families. But you are right, they skipped MO when they did the Avacado tour in '06, the East Coast tour last year, and the West coast tour this year.
Maybe we should vote for Sarah Palin in 2012 in the hopes that PJ will do a vote for change tour in 2016 and play Missouri which is typically a swing state.

On second thought, ill just travel to Chicago.

You know what I thinks funny
I Know Aussies who are going " Great we have shows in philly and Seatle, Im gunna go to this show and that show. that means flying halfway around the world to see Pearl Jam.
Meanwhile we have some americans going oohhh boohoo they are not playing around the corner from my House, Im giving up on these losers if they dont play in my area.
It just shows how selfish you are and your lack of passion for the band
iM SURE nICKLEBACK WILL PLAY YOUR AREA gO SEE THEM.

WHEN AND IF THEY TOUR oz I WILL GO WHERE THEY PLAY.
sure last tour they played Newcastle Ent centre which is 5 min from my house. I was Honoured and stoked.
But Idont expect it again, Sure I hope. And I will put my name to a petition agagin if required.
But I wont crack the shits. I will just get a ticket to the nearest show and dance like nobodies watchin

    rolling stones

Jesus, Aerosmith still rolls out HUGE tours like this year. Rolling Stones, too. Bruce has more energy than nearly any other band (and still tours relentlessly). Anyone who says PJ is "too old" doesn't go to enough shows, imo.

Been to a few....and passing through time along with the boys would never ever acuse them of being to old for anything.....as that would ruin my illusions. :D

Just watched pbs special on Stones n Rio......there is something to be said about musicians that have been doing this far longer rocking many shows. Many good bands don't last this long so just greatful they're still playing/making music.

Add to this being able to check out new surroundings and I'm cool with traveling to see the band. Obviously if your strapped for cash and can't afford to split gas with couple other fellas that would suck.....but understand and appreciate the guys not wanting to play Black 30 times in a row.

To my Texas brothers that aren't so happy.......they are coming to Austin....yea festival, but will be a blast.

Now if I can only score tix.

I am over it now. I was just in a venting mood yesterday.

Thrilled to death they are coming to ACL. I can't wait for thta show. And I love Chicago so that will be great too. Just frustrated is all. That whole 2 shows in LA - ACL - 2 shows in LA is stupid.

Anyway. Over it today. Looking forward to August and October.

Will attempt getting Seattle tickets. After frying down here, looking for someplace cold and rainy. :)

Was a bit disapointed only because of hourse and saddle bag tease. Be cool if 10C sent us Texas folks invitations to ACL taping on sat. ;)

    Nevermind

The Wachovia Spectrum (formerly known as the Spectrum (1967–1994), CoreStates Spectrum (1994–1998) and First Union Spectrum (1998–2003) is an indoor arena located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as part of the South Philadelphia Sports Complex. Completed in 1967, it seats 18,136 for basketball and 17,380 for ice hockey, Arena football, indoor soccer, and indoor lacrosse. The building will be closed and demolished following the 2008-2009 hockey and soccer seasons with the final planned event to be a 3-night Phish run scheduled to start on November 13, 2009; afterwards, the arena will be razed to make way for a new hotel in conjunction with the Philly Live! complex.

PHISH? Phish to play the last concerts , at the SPECTRUM? I guess they couldn't get The Dead or Bruce Springsteen?

I saw my FIRST concert at the Spectrum. So, it will be good to see my FAVORITE band ther, for my LAST show at the SPECTRUM.

Yeah I wouldnt actually call this a tour. Most bands have 25-100 shows on a tour and they certainly wont criss cross the US back and forth in a few days to do it. Even last year they played what??? 13 shows and called that a tour. Doesnt make any sense logistically or financially to plan dates the way they did. It will only result in higher ticket prices in future. At least gas is cheaper this time around. Still Gibson should be a great series of dates but I am sure they make alot less playing 4 6k gigs vs 2 18k shows at the spectrum. However if I could afford it and the time off too. I would see all 4 shows. Which leads me to my statement. Curious to see what those setlists will be like. Will they play 65% same songs all 4 days or play 4 shows without a repeat. Similar to Mexico City or Mansfield. I just keep thinking about the ATL shows that Eddie just did. They were amazing. But the 2nd show was only slightly different from the 1st. I would say a good number of people attended both shows. I would also say a good number of people attended 5 or 6 of those solo shows only to think the reason they would see PJ or Eddie so many times on one tour is to see them play a different set list each night. I know thats why I have been to over 30 shows and will go to as many as possible when they are in the SouthEast US. Long Live PJ! And anyshow anywhere they want to play is a treat for me. :D

That's a "tour"? This band's bookie must have ADD.

Nice to see that the Seattlites are finally getting proper shows, though.

Have a good time, folks. Best of luck when the eventual server crashes hit, and your card gets dinged over and over again until you're maxed out, but you don't actually get any tickets. For those of you who do, when you go to pick up your tickets, they're in row ZZ, upper deck section 426, with an obstructed view. ;)
(It's just that I wouldn't expect any better from this organization right now.)

Did this in 2005 from CT. We got two different shows. In TO PJ playing lots of greatest hits with Bono and Edge coming out, then Philly with a bunch of rarities. Best two shows next to each other ever. Glad to have made the trip and we had a beautiful weekend. If staying near the Center, go to Hockey Hall of Fame and take the boat ride out to the islands. Good times to be had!

and now, we will offer praise and thanksgiving...and maybe throw in some sacrificial burnt offerings to the Server Gods + for good measure~ ;)
Server Gods is capitalized because I believe they do exist, are an actual deity and this is their official title, at least next week they will exist!
