I literally thought the rips listened to were low quality but I guess that’s the intended sound. Bomb out is actually unlistenable to my ears.
    Are there track names now?
Yes on streaming as of today.

Production quality definitely varies from song. Odd choice. I’d love to hear him talk about that decision.

I’m one of those that isn’t normally much of a JW fan. Something has kept me from really getting deep into his music since the first WS album. But I’m about halfway through No Name and it FUCKING KILLS. Wow.

Some of the songs especially Bombing Out sound like an old stooges album.

The rats song has some harsh production too but nowhere near as bad as Bombing. And then some had some cleaner production. It’s weird honestly

I guess I'll just wait for the black variant. Colored vinyl from TMR usually have a lot surface noise anyway.
  • This album is simply amazing!

Sounds the same from years ago just packaged into a "new" album. Bad ass musician, same stuff.... Might be time for JW to just focus on his business and keep playing live. It all sounds the same at this point.

You must not have listened to his prior last few. They were all over the place. This gets back to his roots!
May not be for you but definitely number one on Apple for a reason and he didn't even market the album.

I'll give it some more play, maybe I judged too soon. I do like JW, so we'll see!

What kills me is that the rip I found online when the album first dropped is superior in quality to the actual iTunes version.

It just kills certain songs. Rats, underground… bomb is unlistenable. All great songs though.
  • Strangely I love how all over the place the production is. Makes no sense and can't explain it haha.

I don’t have a keen ear or pretend too! I enjoy every song on it I listen mostly when I’m driving so to me it sounds just fine
jesus greets me looks just like me ....
  • But I will admit, sounds better on Spotify even to me even tho it's not lossless.
Equalizer on Spotify superior to Apple built in equalizer. I find I listen more now on Spotify rather than Apple.

    The no tour tour
that’s cool but means I’ll inevitably never get tickets to whatever small venue he plays in NYC, if he does.
