  • I'll toss out a few of my faves: fight like a brave... naked in the rain.

Love the band. Great music. They're 'okay' live.

I think Anthony recently talked to Rolling Stone about the status of the new album. Didn't get a chance to read it, but something to Google.

I know they're very mixed live, but RHCP are probably #1 on my concerts I must see list. I love their stuff so much, and my love has grown over the years getting more and more into them. Stadium Arcadium was an essential album for me in middle school/high school, and that band was one of the first bands I really loved when I started getting serious about music being 'my thing' haha :)

I'm confused. Is this vinyl ONLY available on their site for this price? It is not on Amazon as far as I can see. I didn't know if just the limited version of 5,000 is on their site, and then there will be a mass press? Or is this 5k it?

  • For me, when it comes to RHCP, right or wrong, I can sum it up this way(for the most part, anyway) "If John Frusciante is not in the band, then its not RHCP."
Love a lot of Stadium Arcadia try "Hey" for an example of a great, maybe lesser known song they created.
By the Way is a great record.

I'm a huge John Frusciante fan, and I do prefer the albums they made with him, but I get tired of people saying that it's not RHCP without him. They've been a band longer without him than with him and the new record will mean they've released more studio albums without him. Flea and Anthony are RHCP - just my 2c.

RHCP are a band that I often forget how much I like, if that makes sense. They disappear for a while, then come back with a cool new single that makes me go back and rediscover them all over again.

I agree, but I think you have to throw Chad Smith in there too. I know he hasn't been there since the beginning, but he's RHCP too.

I don't necessarily agree that it's not RHCP without Froosh, but he's the strongest creative force they've had at any point and time, during his second run. I like Klinghoffer as a live drop-in replacement, though.

Klinghoffer actually annoys me a little. His weird gyrating demeanour on stage is too much. I thought he was heavily tripping the last time I saw these guys in Vancouver.
